The biggest mistake Xbox made was releasing one without a hard drive. If all their units had a hard drive then you could simply load up all 2 or so dvd's of data onto the xbox itself and just using the game disk to play the game. If they did that not having a HD drive wouldn't be a problem for large games. For this reason only PS3 is a generation ahead.

Lol the only PS3 that died was because a guy put ducttape over the vents. And the rest.

http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/search?submitted=true&type=message&q=Ps3+broken&page_size=10

Search the net, theres heaps of stories of games not booting, discs not been read or ejecting. etc etc.

@ XXCoop42XX

Yes the PS3 was delayed but it was worth it coz they ironed out the problems unlike the 360 where for every 2 sold, one is returned as its faulty. And even after that the ones that didnt get returned over heat and die so they get a new one anyway which has the exact same problem. About 75% (and im being nice to the 360 owners) of all people i talk to about the 360 who own one has said that they have had to return their 360 over 5 times to get it fixed from over heating and dieing. How is that a solid console right there. LOL. On to different versions, 360 has 3 different versions LOL. And how is SONY making their consoles better still. They are removing features to reduce price so therefore the best was the first one. LOL. What is this you speak of as the XBOX being the first to get a HDD, I think you will recall the PS2 having an external HDD, oh and back in the NES days one of them had a HDD aswell. And if that isnt enough to convice you, i think you need to look over at your PC or MAC and see that it too has a HDD so therefore your theory is incorrect. If you want to see the power of the 360 vs PS3 just look at the specs mate, the two consoles are nearly the same spec wise but the PS3 has that extra bit of oooommmph that will take it on for years unlike the 360 that has already been maxed out in everyway. If SONY has somehow killed itself with the PS3, why is it still selling consoles. LOL. About the proting aswelll, its the other way around. The 360 is struggling to get ports to it now and you will begin to see it more soon when the 360 cant handle it. How can the PS3 not process fast enough when the specs of the PS3 are a bit better than the 360. LOL. And finally for the whole argument about LIVE vs PSN. I dont see any of the SONY guys (including me) paying for PSN, and i dont blame it if its behind LIVE becasue its free. LIVE costs money and i think its a rip off because who wants to pay over $100 for a game and then have to pay to go online with it. LOL. So overall i think that the 360 is still a good console but has far too many problems. The PS3 is the one on top of this fight and the reason the sales are not as good is because the 360 came out yonks before the PS3. Oh and if i recall correctly the only PS3 that died was becasue a guy put duct tape over the vents. CASE CLOSED.

@ XXCoop42XX

You my boy are a complete psycho and need to open your eyes. Now i have nothing against the 360 except for its owners as they all have big heads when they have no reason to. Yes the PS3 was delayed but it was worth it coz they ironed out the problems unlike the 360 where for every 2 sold, one is returned as its faulty. How is that a solid console right there. LOL. WTF are you on about with the different versions, 360 has 3 different versions LOL. ANd how is SONY making their consoles better still. They are removing features to reduce price so therefore the best was the first one. LOL.

I remember a time when Kotaku was full of intelligent discussion... But that's back when you had to be invited to comment.

This shows most commentators now are just a bunch of moronic fan boys trying to prove who's got the biggest dick... the funny thing is it's not even their own dicks they're talking about...
