BioShock Devs Working on PS3 Game?

BioShock (so far) hasn’t popped up on the PS3. It’s an Xbox 360 and PC game. A job listing on the dev’s website mentions that 2K Boston is on the lookout for a Tools Programmer as it starts “pre production on its next project.” Possible hints about that next project are alluded to in the listing:

UE3, PS3 and production experience using Python or Ruby will be highly regarded.

So Unreal Engine 3 and PLAYSTATION 3. No real big surprises, but there ya go. Job Listing [2K Boston via Games Radar]

Smash Bros Gets Perfect Score In Famitsu

Sure, we’ve shown that scores in Japanese gaming mag Famitsu shouldn’t be taken too seriousl. But still. They do when perfect scores are handed out. In the history of the mag, only seven games have received the honour of four perfect 10s from the mag’s editors, the last being 2006′s Final Fantasy XII. Now, it’s eight. Despite it’s recent delay, Super Smash Bros Brawl is still out pretty soon in Japan (January 31), and Famitsu’s editors have seen fit to award the game a perfect score (click on the image for a larger version). Can you handle all this excitement, Nintendo fans? Super Smash Bros. Brawl is perfect! [The Tanooki]

Suda Keen On More No More Heroes

Last time I caught up with Goichi Suda, dude was pumped about the impending release of No More Heroes. He also said that he and Grasshopper Studios were at work on an Xbox 360 game, which we still know absolutely nothing about. But after that? More No More Heroes, of course: I’m really willing to make a sequel version – and right now I’m asking if it can be made…I think No More Heroes is a great game, there’s no other action game like it for the Wii. If it was a band, it would be really energetic, like the Arctic Monkeys.

Um…OK! While the game’s done quite poorly in Japan, and we’ve yet to get our hands on a finished copy, if you’re interested the latest issue of Edge gave it 9/10, so maybe he’s onto something. SUDA-51: I want No More Heroes sequel [GameSpot]

Shady Wii Deal Goes Bad, Man Hides From Cops In Closet

Further proof that, while crime pays, stupid crime does not. A 28 year-old man from Port Orchard, Washington, has been arrested for stealing a Wii. That’s the boring part. The good stuff’s how he wound up getting caught. A drug user, the arrested is accused of stealing the console from a former friend in December, then re-selling it via Craigslist. With a buyer found, the accused arranged for the transaction to take place in…a parking lot. With the deal done, the buyer returned home, plugged in the Wii, and found – SURPRISE – that it didn’t work. But when he tried to get in touch with the seller, he quickly discovered the contact information he’d been provided was fake. Uh oh.

No, Those Aren’t Pics Of In-Game XMB

Earlier this week, some pics started floating around the internet of some alleged “screens”, “proving” that Sony had already cracked an in-game XMB and that it’d be appearing in the next firmware update. We didn’t post them because, well, they looked about as fake as a fake shot’s going to look. A shot taken by a drunk and over-sized fonts? Please. So it’s little surprise that Sony have confirmed this with us, saying yes, they are fake (as opposed to “no comment”), and no, nothing like it is planned for the next firmware update.
