this is a load of bull, i have played games like “fallout 3″, “Gears of War” both of which have more violent content than a game like left 4 dead 1.

MAKE SURE THAT THE KID IS OVER 18..they are doing it with alcohol

Isn't an R rating on games just like the 18+ rating us Aussies have on buying alcohol? When kids get beer and get drunk, no one blames the alcho shop for selling the parents the beer which they gave their kids, they blame the parents for giving their kids beer, BUT, when a parent buys their kid the MA15+ rated GTA4, then has a sissy fit over Mr. Belic killing everyone, whrre do they go to vent their anger? That's right, they go straight to the source of the game, the manufacturer.

god bless Michael Atkinson, soon with his help i will be able to leave my kids in front of the computer for hours (days?) at a time! My parental responsibilities could be completely dissolved by this man! With no R rating for games, and his unstoppable crusade to rid the internet of all references to ‘muffins’ and ‘dick smith’ i can forget about the kids, sit back with a beer, and peruse the 3 or 4 pages of ‘massage’ adds in my cities most popular newspaper.

This is the most retarded thing ever, its also the first time i have ever spoken up about anything. but why on earth cant we get the rating system, VIOLENT GAMES DO NOT CAUSE VIOLENT PEOPLE!!! i have been playing Violent games since my parents got me them knowing full well what they where (i was like 7) and i'm now 18 almost 19 and i'm pretty sure i'm not a violent person nor is my brother or any mates that played the same games for just as long,

i know what you mean about ManHunt vs Saw thing i cant watch movies like Saw it makes me feel really sick, i also hired Manhunt before it was banned played it for 20mins and gave up on it.. games that are Violent just to be Violent fail badly

This whole thing on no R18 is really making me pissed off and its only for 1 Game (GTAIV) i really don't want to pay $120 for a "Nurfed" version

Why is it THIS point that the opposers never acknowledge! This point, I believe, is the core logical arguement for R18+ classification.
The example of this are games like Rainbow Six, Gears of War and Call of Duty 4. They SHOULD BE R18+!

Honestly, what do we have to do to get the opposers to stop ignoring this point!?
