After A Long Day, I Just Wanna…
11:40PM Brian Ashcraft | To: Crecente From: Bashcraft …play some GTAIV. Found it at the game store near my house with a buncha signs saying it’s ONLY IN ENGLISH. Ah, the perils of importing! I’m probably late to the party, I know, but it’s pretty amazing when a game with all that hype lives up or it or gets damn close. What you missed last night New Phil Harrison Sony announces 2008 and early 2009 line-up One Postal, four screens Microsoft on PS3 not getting GTAIV DLC Gun Metal Grey on for Konami.com More »
Expert Says Children Should Be Banned From Wii Fit
11:20PM Brian Ashcraft | Remember the little girl that Wii Fit called fat? Sure you do! Now, at least one expert is calling Nintendo out on using BMI to judge whether younger players are overweight or not. Tam Fry of the National Obesity Forum is even calling for kiddos to be banned from Wii Fit. According to Fry: I’m absolutely aghast that children are being told they are fat… BMI is far from perfect but with children it simply should not be used… A child’s BMI can change every month and it is perfectly possible for a child to be stocky, yet still very fit… I would be very concerned if children were using this game and I believe it should carry a warning for parents. 10:00PM Brian Ashcraft | Swimsuit model and space alien Yuko Ogura is no longer the face of SEGA. The current “image character” is TK, and Ogura’s moved onto better things! Like being a “Live Face” mask model or being on TV sometimes and saying things. Look! Ogura now has a chain or Korean BBQ restaurants. I spotted one earlier today. Not sure if this is the kinda place I’d buy raw meat from to cook. And literally fifteen paces from the Ogura meat house? More »
Oh Dear…Sega Fans…
8:30PM Luke Plunkett | Yeah, you love Sonic, OK? We all do. But there’s a point where you can love Sonic too much. Enjoying Sonic making out with human chicks, for example, is enjoying Sonic too much. As is walking into a tattoo parlour, sitting down, saying “cover the arm with Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and a Sega logo, will you?” and thinking it’s a good idea. More »

Postal Opening On Four Screens (Yes, FOUR)
7:30PM Brian Ashcraft | Uwe Boll’s Postal is getting a limited release. A very, very limited release. Make that very, very, very limited. Four theatres, actually. Says Boll via press release: Theatrical distributors are boycotting Postal because of its political content. We were prepared to open on 1500 screens all across America on May 23rd. Any multiplex in the U.S. should have space for us, but they’re afraid… We have even tried to buy a few screens in New York and Los Angeles, and they won’t let us even rent the theatres! I urge independent exhibitors to contact us and book ‘Postal’! Audiences have been expecting the film and I don’t think exhibitors should censor what gets played in U.S. theatres. The movie will open on May 23rd in four cities on four movie screens. Yep. More »
