Guitar Hero: World Tour Bags Deluxe $US240 Version
11:20PM Michael McWhertor | Guitar Hero co-publisher RedOctane is looking to squeeze a few more Ulysses S. Grants out of gamers, providing fans of the rhythm genre with a more expensive, but of questionable value, edition of Guitar Hero: World Tour. For $US239.99, exactly $US50 more than the standard retail price, you get… a t-shirt, two recharge kits, a gig bag and a keychain? Surely, that can’t be everything. More »Mappy The Robot Runs a Maze
11:00PM Brian Crecente | Ash wasn’t on hand when I stumbled on this video showing a robot Mappy navigating a cheese-less maze at the Namco Bandai HQ, so I have no clue what this is about. But I do know that it’s a robot that looks like Mappy, and it’s in a maze. There’s also a bit of Goro getting ready to run the maze. Odd. More »Suck it Down: Namco’s Crane Game Makes Kotaku its Bitch
10:00PM Brian Crecente | Not content to document our suckage at just Street Fighter IV, Luke and I decided to prove just how bad we are at saucer games as well. Namco Bandi had a Cena-Flex saucer game set to freeplay at their event. While we didn’t win on tape, we did manage to try enough to eventually bag a can of Pringles and four boxes of cookies. FOUR!!! Good thing we weren’t actually paying. More »Early Peek At This Year’s BlizzCon Pass

What’s Q Bringing To TGS?
8:30PM Michael McWhertor | Two of 2005’s better portable puzzlers, retooled with 2008 fidelity, as Q is wont to do. Lumines Supernova and Meteos Wars, two games you loved when they were known as Lumines and Meteos in simpler times, will be on-hand at Tokyo Game Show this week. The former will be playable at Sony’s booth, the latter at Microsoft’s, bringing balance to the Makuhari Messe show floor. More »Suck it Down: Street Fighter IV Makes Kotaku its Bitch
8:00PM Brian Crecente | At our second arcade we finally found some Street Fighter IV machines squeezed into the smoke-filled fourth floor. The machines, which cost 50 yen a play and were packed into old boxes, were system linked with one another. Ash and Mike took one look at the players and bee-lined it for the Shmups one floor up. But Luke and I, apparently gluttons for punishment, decided to line up and take our punishment, fortunately it was over quickly. (More so for Luke, ha ha ha) More »

Resident Evil…Airplane Gun? Wha????
7:00PM Kotaku US Edition | Reader Burnman sent along these pics of what appears to be a rubber band gun that shoots airplanes. Yeah, airplanes. Anyway, If that isn’t weird enough, the package has a photoshopped image of Resident Evil’s Leon Kennedy holding said gun. Is this a hint at future Resident Evil weapons to come? Or is this just a shameless attempt by a company to sell their crappy products using video game characters? Close up photos after the jump. More »
