Ten Games That Makes Japan Cry (Three Are Erotic Games)

Numbers time! Japanese game site Dengeki Online is running results of a poll that was composed of 86.3 percent men and 13.7 percent women with an average age of 25.46 years old. Questions included things like “Have you cried during gaming?” or “What game are you looking forward to?” In the poll, three of the games that made Japanese gamers cry are “adult visual novels” — two of them are erotic game ports and one is a straight up PC erotic game. That’s not that surprising as many Japanese gamers do play erotic games for the story. No, really.

EA Don’t Just Make Games, They KILL GAMES

For the past, oh, year or two, EA have been trying to change. Trying to shed that nasty image of the ruthless, money-hungry publishing giant. And they’re slowly, oh so slowly, succeeding! Sure, that has a lot to do with Activision emerging as an even more evil company, but it also has to do with EA’s new focus on internal IP, which is bringing us games like Army of Two, Dead Space and Mirror’s Edge. Portal: Still Alive Has New Achievements

The XBLA version of Portal – Portal: Still Alive – will be with us soon. In an attempt to drum up support for a game that most of you already own in some form or another, the XBLA version will feature new achievements. Twelve of them (it’s a little unclear whether these are all of them or just some) have been revealed by Microsoft, and they run from the easy (“Dissolve a Turret”) to the not-so-easy (“Complete the game without ever taking a bullet”). Because the kids can’t get enough miniature plastic replicas of replica rock stars from a replica rock n’ roll game. Due in stores next February, McFarlane’s line of “Guitar Hero Rockers” are 2-inch, stylised versions of the game’s main characters, and will be bundled in pairs.
