Dead Rising is hitting Japanese Wiis on February 19 and bringing three or four slowing walking, sadly rendered zombies with it. Priced at ¥7,340 ($112), the game, Capcom has stated, *might* be able to run up to one hundred zombies on screen at once. (All of the screenshots and gameplay footage we’ve seen indicates otherwise, however.) No word on its Western release date.

Gears of War was all testosterone. Gears of War 2 is mostly testosterone with bonus estrogen. The sequel brings an element of romance between character Dom and his wife Maria, who’s gone missing during the Locust horde onslaught. According to the game’s designer Cliff Bleszinski:

Developer Bethesda has made changes to the Japanese Fallout 3. The side-quest The Power of the Atom has been changed. Non-playable-character Mr. Burke has been taken out of this side-quest, removing the option of detonating the nuclear bomb. That’s not all, the name of a weapon was changed as it was deemed “inappropriate” for Japan. Smart money says the weapon is mini-nuke launcher “Fat Man” for obvious reasons. The online reaction from the Japanese users seems to be largely disappointment to these edits. Fallout 3 goes on sale in Japan this December.

Wrath of the Lich King is out Friday. To mark the occasion, Blizzard have kicked off a series of in-game events to get players totally psyched for it. One of these is in the Orc capital Orgrimmar, which if you jump in right now is under continuous (ie it’s one attack that loops every half hour) attack by Scourge forces.
