Photojournalist Robbie Cooper — whom you may remember from his book Alter Ego: Avatars and their Creators, in which flesh and blood gamers were photographed and paired with their virtual world counterparts — has another fascinating, if brief, visual project focused on gamers. Dubbed “Immersions,” it showcases the intense facial concentration, blank stares and slackjawed tongue-work most of us exhibit while playing games.
The Zeebo is a new console from Brazilian outfit Tectoy that uses a 3G SIM card to download games. It is a bit on an odd beast – looking like an unholy marriage of the PS3 and a Wii, and the strictly last-gen games selection (Quake, Crash Bandicoot, etc.) may seem a bit underwhelming.
Is Nintendo of America bringing the Game & Watch Collection to the Nintendo DS? A brand new E-rating for the anthology recently appeared at the ESRB’s web site, leading us to believe Nintendo may have plans to publish it stateside.

Let’s clear this up – the creatures in Left 4 Dead are NOT after your brains. They aren’t zombies, they are the infected. Valve Software though? They totally want to have a root around inside your grey cells.
So many games, so little time. But do you ever wonder what happens to the also-rans? The non-AAA titles and the ones that don’t have the huge marketing budgets behind them? Or even those that do, but just.. don’t work? The answer, according to market analysts EEDAR, is not very much.
After two years of languishing in ninja-less void, the PlayStation 3 finally gets its very own Naruto game with Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm. The latest in the Ultimate Ninja series from developer CyberConnect2, Ultimate Ninja Storm has been making fans drool with its anime-topping cel-shaded graphics ever since the first screens slipped onto the internet back in April of this year, so good that many internet dwellers called bullshots. Then the trailer came out, and everyone just sat quietly and watched.
Internet gaming is serious business, where a simple insult or misplaced “LOL! I PWN J00!” can result in a bitter feud. In the real world – say at a pool table – loudmouth players can be quickly made schtum with a gentlemanly wager. But how can you make those eejits on LIVE put their money where their mouths are?
New Internet thing BringIt aims to solve this conundrum. The site acts as a secure third party that can let you set up cash prizes for games. Just set up a challenge – one on one or tournament and agree a prize amount. Monies are held in escrow by BringIt once the game is afoot, so nobody can run off with the pot.
Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, & Wii games are supported (no PC – presumably it is too easy to cheat) as long as you have a decent, stable net connection.
