Turn those frowns upside down, Tribes 2 fans. While the game may be officially six feet under, a group of dedicated fans have brought Tribes 2 back to life, online multiplayer and all.
The project is called TribesNext, and you can download and try out a beta version of the game now. The legality of the whole thing is a little suspect, but hey, it’s not like Sierra are around to give two shits about it anymore.

Vivendi has no interest in the Tribes franchise anymore. That much was clear when Tribes Vengeance was abandoned too.

Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at 6:26 PMYou need to put in deployable wall and shield walls that were fun to deploy and help build up the defense and put in more movers ,like elevators, make the bases bigger inside. And the sky sucks even on my 2k$ PC.Change the grass texture ,lots of repeating texture patterns.Alls I can say is,its getting there, and fun with all those extra players. Thanks
