Useless at maths? We feel your pain. Microsoft doesn’t make it easy to work out how much money you’re actually spending when you fork over some MS Points on Xbox Live Marketplace. The Aussie dollar conversion rate is 100 Points = $1.65, not the simplest calculation do perform in your head when your thumb is hovered over the A button, eager to spend spend spend! This way you’ll realise that spending 1200 Points or $19.80 on garbage like Blowout really isn’t a good idea after all.

    I don’t bother with the exact calculations. I just set 100 points at $2 and be done with. 1200 = $24 in my book. The extra $5 (okay, $4.20) really doesn’t make a difference when justifying game choices.
