I’ll be giving my brand new Wii a good workout today, starting with Mario Galaxy. Later though – despite my utter abhorrence of needles, let alone the fact I can’t bear the sight of any sort of surgical procedure – I plan to check out Trauma Centre: New Blood, which was released on Thursday. Hey, it looks tame enough, and the nurses are pretty cute.
I’ve also been meaning to give Rise of the Argonauts a go. The reviews haven’t been kind, I’ll admit, but when I saw it at E3 last year there was plenty of promise. I suspect it’ll turn out to be a game full of interesting ideas, the potential of which remains unrealised as the developers were forced to rush it out just before Xmas. Why else would you release a game on December 18?
And, of course, here’s where I ask you what are you playing this weekend?

Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 1:49 PMThe final push for platinum for Uncharted. Just have to do a bit more to finish Brutal. Also I just bought that Penny Arcade RPG on PSN the other day so I’ll play a bit more of that. And Valkyria Chronicles.

Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 6:18 PMBeyond Good and Evil for PC. Got it for $10 US off of Steam last week. Kicking myself for not getting it sooner. Fantastic game.
Probably some Bangai-O spirits for the DS as well during the quieter moments.
