So far, the Wii is without its own Resident Evil. Umbrella Chronicles is a gun game, so doesn’t count. Resident Evil 0? Remake, doesn’t count either. We’re talking all new here, baby.
Speaking with Eurogamer, Resident Evil 5 producer Masachika Kawata has said:
Personally I would like to create something on Wii in the Resident Evil family. At the moment we don’t know and have just been working on RE5, so watch this space.
If Wii remakes of past games can sell millions, Lord only knows how many units a new, proper game would shift.

I bought my wii for No More Heroes and Umbrella Chronicles so I’d buy this and another copy for my little brother.
This will sell 5 million units worldwide.
