BioWare is forming a new studio within Electronic Arts Montreal, hiring 30 staffers to help develop Mass Effect 2, Gamasutra reports.

“Our new presence… will be located within the existing EA Montreal facilities,” BioWare co-founder Ray Muzyka tells Gamasutra today. “It’s great that we have a strong foundation to build out of.”

The developer is looking to hire animators, designers and artists, according to a Montreal Careers section of BioWare’s website.

BioWare tells Gamasutra that their push on Mass Effect 2 won’t affect their work on Dragon Age or Star Wars: The Old Republic.
