Klonoa Crosses A Cave Six Different Ways
Namco Bandai shows us not one but six different ways for Klonoa to cross a dark cave in the upcoming remake of the original PlayStation game.
When I saw that Namco Bandai has passed along six different gameplay videos for Klonoa, I didn’t expect six different short shots of the hand-eared mutant kitty thing crossing through the same dark cavern. I suppose they’re trying to demonstrate the gameplay variety present in the game, but they could have given us something more to look at. Still, it is Klonoa, and Klonoa is endlessly loveable.
Look for the game to hit store shelves next week.

I haven't played the original, but played the second game so I'm really looking forward to this!
@THEJOHNNYOHM:
I'll have a c-c-c-c-combo number 3, please.

@bfwings55:
C-c-c-c-c-combo breaker!!!
Aw man, the sooner this bad boy comes out, the better!
I think I'll play through the original again in celebration. Wahoo!
@idrawrobots: Klonoa's awesome. Wish this was coming to PSN.

@HUmonster:Wii.
For which platform is this? This would make a great PSP game.
@SatansBestBuddy: i think you're right. i honestly forgot all about this remake :)- but i just happened to play through the original yesterday. these portions are not in the original game at all.
i am pleased that they chose to use the same music as the original game (which, for it's genre- is flawless to this day). i will most definitely be picking this game up. i love Klonoa and i want to see Namco continue to support the series... let's just hope they don't mess up the voices. *crosses fingers*
i just finished the ps1 version two weeks ago and i'm still getting this!
@bfwings55: hah...wow...
Aaaah, classic platforming, i'm liking it...

@bfwings55: (sigh) now i want a whopper...

I'm so getting this game next Tuesday!
@Gantz: Your Trusted Friend in Science.:
There are three games like that! The Burger King games!
Cuz the King let's you Have it Your Way!
I see them doing the same thing six different times in six different variations of the same area. That's completely different than accomplishing the same goal six different ways.
bkchurch
Yeah I don't get it... it's not 6 different ways to cross, it's 6 different variations of the same cave. What's so neat about this?
That takes me back.
Can't wait to play it.
Far less impressive than what I thought it was going to be.
I thought it was going to be like 6 different ways of traversing the same terrain, not 6 different version of the same stage.
I wish there were more games that gave you the option of doing things your way...
Those videos are from the last (hidden) challenge after Klonoa collects all of the pieces. The cave may not be much to look at, but it shows just how complex the simple wind bullet system can get. It's really a brilliant game.
Maybe it's some kinda challenge mode?
I haven't even played any Klonoa and I'm excited about this game.
I'm looking forward to this game. I haven't played it, but I played Klonoa 2 and loved that.
Klonoa loveable? More like generic. And I'm sure those repetitive sound effects won't get at all annoying.

CAN'T WAIT!

@dd528: one of my all time favourite video game characters <3
@Elliuotatar:
Heresy. The games have been amazing. Well, okay, the second GBA one sorta sucked.
Alright AWESOME! I played the first Klonoa game on the GBA and I loved it, unfortunately I haven't been able to nab a copy of the playstation game so this is great news.
@Elliuotatar: Begone, Klonoa unbeliever!
@bkchurch: It's like Deus Ex---but cute!
ThatFuzzyBastard
Release day purchase for me, that is for sure. 2D platforming is where it's at!
Jimbotron
Wahoo!
Mii
@Elliuotatar: you've never played a Klonoa game have you? Shut your damn mouth.
