MotionPlus, Wii Sports Resort Dated & Priced For US

Earlier this week, Nintendo announced that Wii Sports Resort and MotionPlus would be out “overseas” in July. Today, Nintendo of America sets firm release dates for both.


The Wii MotionPlus accessory goes on sale a month earlier on June 8 in the U.S. for US$19.99. Wii Sports Resort drops later the following month on July 26. It is bundled with the Wii MotionPlus add-on for $49.99.

According to Nintendo exec Cammie Dunaway, “Wii MotionPlus represents a new evolution in video game control. The variety of fun games in Wii Sports Resort show off its incredible precision. Developers around the world are busy working on new ways to incorporate Wii MotionPlus controls into inventive experiences for consumers.”

With Wii Remotes pricing at $US39.99, $19.99 for a Nunchaku and now $19.99 for the Wii MotionPlus, that means it costs $80 for a fully loaded Wii Remote.
