Yes, There Will Be More Shaun White Snowboarding
While Shaun White Snowboarding wasn’t the best game of last fall, it is one of the best selling games. The multi-platform game sold 3 million copies. You know what that means?
More Shaun White Snowboarding. Just listen to Ubisoft honcho Yves Guillemot, “You can expect more Shaun White in the future.” Don’t get excited, it’s a given. There will be more. Yay?
As website GameSpot points out, Ubisoft has not yet slated a Shaun White sequel for its current fiscal year, which runs through March 31, 2010.

@NicolasCage: have you guys seen carrot top recently? he looks like he had crazy plastic surgery. his face is square. *shudders*
@icepick314: He may be good at snowboarding, but I bet he's even better at Carrot Top look-alike competitions.
I always mistake that guy for Rocky Dennis (movie version).

@FriedConsole: I'm with you guys, I love the Wii version. Right now, it's my favorite Balance Board controlled game for the Wii.
@GARlock: Really? I though Malachi from Children of the corn.

Did it sell 3 million copies or did it SHIP 3 million copies?
The Wii version was pretty good, one of the best game to use with the Wiiboard anyways. The 360/PS3 version lacked focus, well-paced progression and polish.

Im one of those 3 million. Yeah, I bought It and It was fun... for 2-3 hours, after that It became really really boring.
I'd rather want a real sequel to Amped 2 than another one of this
I'm a natural redhead and even I get them mixed up sometimes. It's definitely the fro-ish hair and bone structure of their faces that do it.
Booji-Boy
@Stevil_T: Wait! I meant Mask. Sorry, I got distracted by the face.
Stevil_T
@GARlock: Looks more like the deformed kid from Face.

@GARlock:
I was just scrolling past this and it caught my eye for a second. I was like "Is that freakin' Carrot Top??? When will that bastard just go away?"
@Go Go Gadget: Thugmunk: His mom probably feels the same way.
@Culebra:
*Opens new tab, googles carrot top images*
Wow! He is ripped.
*Closes tab, eyes fall out*
The Wii version made my WiiFit purchase worth.. playing it with the balance board is awesome!
@zgreenwell: Agreed. I loved the Wii version on balance board. It took a little time to to get used to but it was worth it. I put in an embarrassing amount of hours into it. I didn't mind unlocking characters. The characters only made a slight amount of difference. The multiplayer didn't interest me because you can't have 2 people playing balance board at the same time. I thought they needed more track variety. The tracks were oddly sparely populated.

@TitillatedOcelot: So is he or is he not carrot top? I submit that he is. The "real" carrot top is dead to me. He will have to suffice.
@GARlock: Shaun White's mom mistakes him for Carrot Top.
I always find it funny that Carrot Top is ripped nowadays. Go ahead, Google Image search him...you won't unsee.
@Spaceboy: i did too!
@icepick314: Apparently not... I was disgusted to see that Shaun White actually looks like Carrot Top.
God I hate Carrot Top
@GARlock: The funny thing is I think the same thing every time I see the guy I think he just needs to cut his hair and that should help.

That picture brings me back to that fateful day. The day nintendo sold its soul to satan/mainstream soccer moms.
"Durrr. I hurt my wrist while skiing, durrr."
Oh the horror...
I bought the Wii version and it was pretty good. The only problem was that you had to play through the whole thing on single player to unlock the stages and characters for multiplayer. It could have succeed much better as a party title if those were all unlock for from the beginning.
@GARlock:
I thought that WAS Carrot Top.
Spaceboy
is that Carrot Top?
I always mistake that guy for Carrot Top.
Seakwells?
Give me a cookie if I was correct.

Is there anyway that the gods will conspire to create Shaun White-SSX Mashup? Well of course that's impossible, but SSX+Wiifit board probably would be the perfect combo. And I like Shaun White as a snowboarder. So I'm hoping Ubisoft will hijack a little SSX Charm in their next snowboarding adventure, even if it's not called SSX.
@GARlock: Except Carrot Top is super buff now.
I foresee Hollywood doing a Prince and the Pauper remake with them though.
Although I didn't pick this up due to less than great reviews, I'm still happy a sequel is coming. I'd love a good snowboarding game.
Stoked was much more fun than Shaun White. I was bored except for when i watched the NPC boarders run into walls in SW. Bwahwhahwah.
elvisbazoo
I never thought when he was like 12 that he would grow into Carrot Tops doppelganger.
Ghostwise
@GARlock: Just wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one.
Holy Crap! Shaun White is a really ugly, ginger freak! Maybe during the marketing they can figure out how to block his face. The game would probably sell even better if they did.
@GARlock: If he starts carrying a large trunk with him everywhere he goes, then I would become very suspicious.
Simba
really?
even after the game got such mediocre reviews?
a sequel to Amped would be effing great, or bringing SSX to PS3/Xbox 360. which is one thing i am disappointed that has yet to be done...
Have you seen how huge Carrot Top is lately? We wouldn't be saying this stuff if he was here. I think that's why he bulked up - got tired of getting ripped on by his 'fans' all the time.

Hippest game sales make me cringe
Shawn white on a binge

Can they give me the option of Tony Hawk type controls? That'll be one big step for them to make me stop hating this game series.
@Kristopher.W: Developers decide to release a sequel based on high sales figures - which Shaun White obviously has - not review scores. Same reason The Brady Bunch and Gilligan's Island are still on TV everyday.
jayislost
@jayislost:
oh yeah...sales figures. i forgot that that's all developers really cared for when contemplating making a sequel...
