Zorro Finally Destined For The Wii

After teasing us mercilessly in 2007 with the ability to slash Zs with our Wii remotes, 505 is finally ready to release The Destiny of Zorro this spring.

First announced in February of 2007, a splash of screenshots and a promised 2007 release was all we saw of The Destiny of Zorro. Now, more than two years later, 505 Games announces a spring release for the original masked vigilante’s Wii debut. The game follows Zorro on many adventures through early 1800s Spanish California, as opposed to early 2000’s Spanish California, where he wouldn’t stand a chance.

“505 Games is truly honored by the opportunity to bring an iconic hero like Zorro, that speaks to so many generations, to the Nintendo Wii in North America,” said Adam Kline, president of 505 Games U.S. “For the first time ever, fans of Zorro will get to experience what it feels like to be the masked swordsman. They’ll be able whip and thrust their Wii remote, battling a variety of foes in non-stop action.”

Whoa, whoa…what’s this first time nonsense? I don’t know about you folks, but I am no stranger to tying a black t-shirt around my head and swinging about a tree branch. Sometimes I even cut eye holes.
