I’m suprised you expected 20-25 year olds to go to occupy a pinball convention. How many people in the last 10 years would go out to a pool hall or something to pay pinball?

How many would’ve done it in the 70s and 80s?
Makes sense to me.

Yes I would. Pinball wasn’t in it’s prime a dozen years ago – it was firmly in decline.

In the various towns I lived in during the mid 90’s there were always more video arcade machines than pinball machines (if any) in the fish’n'chip shops / shopping centres / game arcades.

Go back another decade and then you’ll be getting into the realm of the pinball machine where you’ll find true pinball aficionados.

Thanks for the article though. Was nice seeing some of the old favourites. :)

See, now I would have really appreciated being there! But then I’m 41 (going on 25-ish) and went through High School in the early eighties when pinball machines and arcade games were in their prime.

Never thought much of the Johnny Mnemonic table myself. That version of Playboy was awesome though.

And yes, Nae Hill, that is a grandma you see (dunno about the MILF part though) – she was a regular comic figure back in the day. Don’t know about now, haven’t seen a Playboy mag since… about the time I was in High School now that I think about it.

I agree with Nae Hill, there should be more GMILF in games.

I have a pretty good collection of GMILF. Maybe we should work together. Two GMILF entusiasts vs the narrow minded games industry.

Great article! I never even thought about the possibility of a pinball machine following, but now that I think about it your last comment really worries me!

P.S. The image with the playboy machine.. Does that have a GMILF in it or am I just imagining things?
