I don't like that Nintendo chick, she creeps me out.

@LittleDeadEpic!: and id like to add.. that i think this year will be sony's year.. mabey not in sales but in games.. Microsoft will imo own 2010.. Mass Effect 2 will be GOTY ..
cant wait to see what sony brings :)
Microsoft's biggest announcment will probably be a big ps3 exclusive going multiplatform.. imho they line-up this year looks realli weak :/
and all i want from Nintendo is MH3 eruope realese date :P
I'll just wait and see. I'm not getting my hopes up from/for anything that Nintendo says. I'm still waiting for Project H.A.M.M.E.R. (yes I know it's been canceled :p).
smd31
@XavierHarkonnen: It was Insomniac that came up with it, Sony rejected it
Mark Doherty
Skimming through the E3 list, I'm excited to see:
BioShock 2
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Brutal Legend
Muramasa: The Demon Blade
The Beatles: Rock Band
Little King's Story
Bayonetta
Fat Princess
God of War III
Heavy Rain
Uncharted 2
And, just to see what it's like, LEGO Rock Band.
I wish I could've seen Dead Rising 2. Darn you Swine Flu!
@excel_excel:
Darkslash
@excel_excel: Well... nightmares usually take priority over sweet dreams.
@gordiehowe5: I've had umd's since the PSP came out with frequent use and not a single one has broken on me nor gotten any serious scratches.
Come on, Saints Row 3 <.<
@touchmypenguinagain: Ninty has had a year to conjure up some stuff. I have a feeling we will get some pretty good announcements from them that wont just cater to the cooking mama fans.
@AncientUnknown1: We can at the least count on M$ to focus on the present rather than the distant future. I even think Sony will focus on the remainder of the year rather than games too far off. I think this E3 will be much better than the last few though.
@Murgatron: you should seriously send that name off to insomniac i laughed my fucking ass off
@deanbmmv: Who wants "OnLive" forever, who wants to wait forever ...
I knew Freddy could see into the future ;)
develin
@develin:
Give it 12 years they'll go bust without releasing anything, just 12 years of trickling stuff out, just enough to give the hope that it'll be coming.
@shanrulez: For Wii, I'm interested in NMH2 and that Kid Icarus game they hinted at last year, prior to E3. And I'd jizzmehpantz if they give more details on the console Kirby game they keep promising year after year. Also, for ps3 though, I'm hoping for some more R&C Future: A Crack in Time (gah, "Clock Blockers" would have been so much better. Curses, Sony... Curses!) content.
@uchennaokafor:
Are you kidding? That was huge!
@Koztah:
you can sell those games like that?
Aaron Monroy
@excel_excel: yeah last years was bad for everyone. I think this year nintendo will pull it around considering the pretty much announced three new titles a week after e3 (zelda, mario and pikmin) hopefully last years fan backlash will spur them on this time
souljacker86
@Mike Newlad: Considering they are not at E3 I doubt that there will be any news related to them.
develin
@FatalChaos: I'd rather have a truly portable system without relying on flimsy UMDs.
gordiehowe5
@shanrulez: don't forget Alan Wake and Sin and Punishment 2 :)
@Sandbox_Emperor:
[sony] The briefing will take place of June 2 at 11.00am PST. The Nintendo conference will precede it at 9.00am.
The Microsoft conference will come the day before. It's taking place on June 1 at 9.00am PST.
@Koztah: Bam wont work on my PSp slim, Bam I wont upgrade either, Bam it wont be the same as a UMD, Bam I can't think of any other reasons.
@Nymo: He wants to be original :P
@HELLSRIDER is playing Mother 3: Well, actually they all (except nintendo) seem to have brought plenty of stuff, but not everything was good. Microsoft seems to be the better one.
@excel_excel: I really feel as a UK/European customer that Nintendo isn't treating us the same as the other territories. I know we are always let down due to localisation etc and there is always some delay, however some games, thinking of SSBB in particular have had ridiculous waits before we see them and it's a bit of a let down by Nintendo (I know Mario Kart was earlier but there's more games on the other side),in my opinion anyway.
@Reule: OnLive perhaps?
Mike Newlad
@benihime: I know, seriously
Nintendo should shove her in the closet like people have done with their Wiis :P
I like how 2 of the pictures for each of the big 3 have their arms wide out, yet the picture of Jack Trenton for Sony has his hands held together with a nice smile. Not sure what that means, though...
Let's see how each of the 3 do this year...
sooo I know that Microsoft's presser is next Monday at 10:30, but does anyone know the dates/times for the other 2? I've been having trouble tracking down this years' presser dates
@FatalChaos:
Buy lots of smallish SD cards. Bam, physical copies!
Koztah
@shanrulez: God damn your Wii is small ;)
@shanrulez: Ireland for me :(
im 3 all the way but im interested in ninten hoping they shock me some how and as for ms well im one of their worst critics hell i hope its a two week notice

@SHOWTIME!:
man watching that video(trico) make both excited but a bit bummed out it was SoTC2.
@touchmypenguinagain: It was just really last years that was a fail for Nintendo. But it was pretty much a fail for everyone
@DigitalHero: Its a bad E3 when the biggest announcement is a game going multiplatform. Not that it wasn't surprising but still!
@SHOWTIME!:
Ravi pulls out a boombox, smirk on his face.
As the music plays, he steps in place.
Finally, the drums, they begin.
Ravi Drums is back again!
All 3 promise much, and dont bring much.
@excel_excel: I live in the UK...i won't be seeing that until midway till next year unfortunately :(
@excel_excel: MH3 if they decide to bring it here.
I'm very curious about what Sony is going to reveal/promise for the upcoming holiday season. I get the feeling the stars are aligning for Sony, and a lot of investments they made in the past are going to start paying off.
As for MSFT, I predict a solid presentation that will show off games, but likely focus on making the 360 a lifestyle destination (think something like Netflix).
As for the Big N, I have no real idea. Trying to predict them is baffling. They could put out Call of Duty: Cooking Mama or Dr. Mario's DSM-IV (wave Wiimote to diagnosis bipolar disorder) and Nintendo will move two million units. Not being snide, just marveling at how N can sell just about anything.
I do agree that Sony likely won't announce a price drop at E3, but rather TGS or just before Halloween....something to heat up the plunge into the holiday buying season.
DarthVegan
@benihime: Oh please god give us shadow of the colossus 2, can you imagine that reimagined on the ps3...the colossi could be so much bigger, detailed and imposing...that game would rock using the ps3 hardware. The first was one of my favourite games ever, by that point i was completely bored of what the ps2 had to offer and was just completely surprised and blown away by it.
touchmypenguinagain
@benihime: I would almost be as happy with a new ICO, but i'm behind ya on SotC 2 all the way.
SHOWTIME!
@excel_excel:
Yup, that was a huge megaton. That is all I basically remember too.
I reckon microsoft as they wont tell you much beyond this year, little risk for failure. Theyll probably just sell their end of year titles like modern warfare 2, forza 3, bioshock 2 etc...maybe theyll announce some exclusive dlc or maybe a kojima title coming to 360?
I'd say sonys should be the most exciting this year with the obvious psp announcements and well finally see if theres any truth to the ps3 slim. Should be some major game annoucements me thinks, hopefuly well see more of the new ico team's game.
Nintendos will probably be an uncomfortable fail as always now-a-days.
touchmypenguinagain
I just hope there's no UMD-less PSP2, I really like having physical copy of my games.
@AncientUnknown1: Couldn't agree more
@shanrulez: Just those 2? What about Demon Blade at the very least.
Ninty's going to have to step it up this year. What I can expect is
- Casual gaming for 1/3 of the session.
- Pikmin 3
- Sales talk
- LOZ: ST
- Some casual game they will define as "hardcore" and ultimately dissapoint us all
- Sin and Punishment 2
- Ravi Drums II

@shanrulez: good to hear! I have to say, the first few hours of Assassin's Creed were some of the best moments I've had with my PS3. Now if they can make me feel that way throughout the entire game, I'm sold :)
SHOWTIME!
@CreamSodaSlurpee: i jizzed... in my pants
all i want out of this e3 if for cammie( and her cute puppy) to go away, zelda trailer.
shadows of the colossus 2
alan wake.
and that a winner in my book.
@excel_excel: He could make a quick buck if he offered his services to parties and whatnot. Hell, who wouldn't want that for their 21st?
@FreedomNova: I read in some scans that there would be over 40 different mission types or something, so that should give you a bit of variety ;)
@shanrulez:
I'm not exactly holding my breath for Assassin's Creed 2, i just hope they can keep it expansive without forcing you to go through the same repetitive actions.
@Slagathorian: It looks good, i'm interested in the 1:1 control they're gonna be using, and hopefully they will have learnt from previous mistakes as I hope with Assassins Creed
Right, I really want Nintendo to show something this year. Especially after last years epic failure.
that's why i love E3 can not expect who will be the best company in the next E3
Please no CG-only trailers for games years away. Let's focus on this holiday season.
AncientUnknown1
@shanrulez: Dude, you're not SERIOUSLY putting Red Steel 2 in with the rest of them are you?
@DarthVegan: Ah yes that was actually fantastic. Should have remembered that!
@excel_excel: Kojima says there's still 26 hours...
Shame I have exams during this E3 since its going to be on of the most exciting of recent times, i'll fit in the live shows somehow though. I'm betting on Sony, although the amount of good games on both platforms/exclusive is astounding:
Assassins Creed 2
Beyond Good and Evil 2
The Saboteur
Red Dead Redemption
FF XIII
Infamous
Prototype
Fight Night Round 4
COD: MW2
Call of Juarez
Tekken 6
God of War 3
Batman Arkham Asylum
Dead Rising 2
Uncharted 2
Wet
L.A. Noire
Heavy Rain
White Knight Chronicles
ICO game
Fight Night Round 4
Fifa or Pro Evo
NHL 10
Madden 10
And then there's my Wii list...
Red Steel 2
Pikmin 3
@excel_excel: I dug the Little Big Planet portion of the Sony presentation. A very clever, offbeat way to show off an upcoming title.
DarthVegan
@spannu: 1!
...this is a countdown to a countdown.
3...
@TheHeeyyy: It never gets old. Ever. God I fucking love it!
ah, I just love all the excitement with e3 and then watching those live streams of the conferences, and undeniably feeling horribly let down. I think I like the anticipation more than the actual event...
dreamfall
@uchennaokafor: I have a bad feeling it'll be like last years E3. When the biggest announcement is that another platform is getting another game, it's sort of a drag. I'm hoping for something new and exciting to blow people away alongside some of the already existing sequels and franchises to show up their previous adventures.

I think the promise checking articles are cool idea, But at last year's e3 there was really nothing to write home about. I look forwarded to next years "promise check" :)
Aleksei Pulchritudoff
@uchennaokafor: That being one major announcement which is no more than a multiplatform release which was already on the PS3.
Dude shut up your gonna jinx it!
@excel_excel: The drummer... oh lord the drummer..
All the big three pretty much stick to their E3 promises. The only thing I dont want is a repeat of the bullshit Microsoft pull. That being one major announcement which is no more than a multiplatform release which was already on the PS3.
I trust no one going in to E3. Last years was rotten though. absolutly rotten. All I can remember was Final Fantasy XIII going multiplatform, two crappy prerendered trailers of MAG and God of War, and Nintendo's Wii music ATTACK!

CreamSodaSlurpee
@SHOWTIME!: Do your research and it's over 16 mission types, 200 missions (even if two are the same "type", they never mirror each other), and like 450 people working on the game (to put into perspective, LittleBigPlanet's MediaMolecule only has 30, and most big-budget studios only have around 100-200).
The missions sound extremely interesting. From following a nobleman stealthily out into the countryside for an assassination, to using Da Vinci's flying machine to fly towards and infiltrate a palace while your friends use heat drafts from fires in the streets below to keep you afloat. When you enter the castle, you discover the noblewoman you're investigating is in danger and you must escape with her safely to the docks to get in a boat and flee the scene.
It seems to be nowhere near as mundane and monotonous as Assassin's Creed.
to be honest i just want new footage of LoZ: Spirit Tracks.
if nintendo shows up anything else good it will be a big suprise, but seeing Metroid Prime Trilogy has already been announced, they can only save themselfs by showing footage of the New Mario or New Zelda for Wii
Hero-Link
Even CAMMIE would think she looks stupid on that picture.
@excel_excel: 2...
@FatalChaos: Still, physical discs/media are way bigger pain in the ass for a portable system than just having many games on an internal hard disk. I'll take the advantages of never worrying about losing/breaking a piece of media over having a box and booklet any day.
