I've only played Peggle Extreme on Steam, but seeing this headline made me smile and reach for my iPod touch immediately.

@Gerald Onyango: I totally understand, I have 3 copies of Peggle and Peggle Nights, one of each on my PC Desktop, and one of each on both my wife's and my macbooks. Those games are far to addictive.

Will be getting this when my phone contract is up for renewal in a months time. I've decided finally to get an iphone. I have peggle on multiple platforms and was considering getting the ds version. Really seems pointless now with an iphone version out at about 1/10 the price.

@CustomFirmware: Tell me about it. I've only got it for the DS but I've been playing it a lot, and an iPod Touch version is tempting... I will probably find myself buying this at some point.

lol. It was only yesterday that I wondered if there was an iPhone version of this. The last search in my iPhone app store was Peggle. Downloading now!

I haven't played Peggle before, believing it to be some generic short, puzzle game of some sort. But from the general comments above, i'm too scared to give it a try :( Will i ever be the same if i too played it?...

@Ackers: I've never played Peggle. I heard it's coming for the PS3 and I'm scared. Really, really scared. I know I'll buy it and I'm pretty sure I'll get addicted if everything I've heard about it is true.

@shenanigans123: That is quite bad, considering the (proven) addictive nature of WoW... Peggle is somehow more addictive? RUN!

It's also on regular mobile phones.

im glad neither myself nor my wife own an iPhone. we had to delete the peggle add-on from WoW cause we ended up spending more time 'dueling' each other on peggle than actually playing WoW. This is on top of owning it on PC and DS as well. Damn this stupid addictive game. Damn it to hell!

I had just gotten over playing Peggle on the Xbox 360 and I could really use that five bucks.

Yet, I'm holding the iPhone and my hands are navigating to the App Store on their own accord.

@Gray665: Try the demo on the PC/Mac first to get a feel for it... while I'm not super obsessed with it, it is a pretty fun game.

@CustomFirmware: Exactly why I held off buying the XBLA Peggle (or any other version)_... sure it has multiplayer, but I need my Peggle fix on the go!

Does it do that weird freeze up before each shot like the DS version? If not I'm sold.

@CustomFirmware: I've got it for 360 and DS. Fortunately I don't have an iPhone/Touch, but if I did I would probably have purchased it by now. :P

I looked specifically for this, and would have bought it, but I have the full version on my PC, and then I grabbed it for DS - now I already have a mobile version so I have to pass on this. If I didn't grab the (excellently ported) DS version I'd be all over this though.

Am I the only one here who DOESN'T get Peggle? I beat the game on story mode and was like "meh" and went back to my Puzzle Quest and Bust A Move on my DS.

It just doesn't do it for me as a puzzle game...
