LittleBigPlanet Goes Mad For Judge Dredd, 2000AD
Now this, Media Molecule, this is more like it. Taking a break from promoting national holidays and PS3 games with their LittleBigPlanet content, MM will soon be releasing Sackboys based on 2000AD comics.
This was teased over the weekend with a Judge Dredd movie poster, but in the intervening days images of several other characters from the British sci-fi universe (which, for the record, is now owned by Aliens vs Predator developers Rebellion) have been released.
As you can see, there’s going to be not only Judge Dredd sackboys, but Judge Anderson, Johnny Alpha and Rogue Trooper as well.
This is just the kind of thing we like to see, MM. Comic book characters. Who knows, maybe movie characters and musicians could be next?

Just watched the trailer for Dredd vs Death. These are nuggets of the immense wisdom spawned via YouTube comments:

To bad there is no judge death, then again his visage isnt very befitting of a familyish type game.

I brought this game, never played it once and then traded it in..but some how its like breaking up with a girlfriend...i miss it and kinda want it because ...even tho I never gave it enough attention.

@excel_excel: Did they ever promise weekly free content? I doubt it because they haven't even done that since launch. They simply promised WEEKLY content which they do provide. Last week was the Monster Costume and Level pack, this week it's the 2000 AD pack. Sometimes there are gaps due to PSN release issues, but they usually hand out LBP content every week.

Good job with their marketing department because this will give them a bigger audience and introduce new people to their world of comics.

Holy shit that actually looks awesome. I'll make sure to purchase these by the time my cousin comes back for summer break. He loves LBP and Anderson and beating me in almost all the levels despite me owning the actual game.
For the record, I don't play as often as I like to.
Here's hoping this'll have a level pack like the MGS one.

They look very nice. Its a shame MM have pretty much abandoned their one free sackboy costume every week thing.
2000 AD content is too cool. I grew up on those characters and seeing them used in this manner is nothing short of fantastic. Thank you MM.

I like that the developer is keeping up its support for the game, i just need the will power to throw it into my ps3 and start playing again.
Havent pld since i completed the story mode and my time is being taken up cod 4, kill zone and fifa at the min.
Hard to fit anything else in with work taking up my damn gaming time.
