Rock Band Takes Back Alice Cooper Next Week
Next week’s additions to Rock Band and Rock Band 2 have been announced earlier than normal, thanks to the Rock Band Community Zine. Expect a dose of classic hard rock and modern day emo.
Six tracks from Alice Cooper will join new songs from Taking Back Sunday in the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Rock Band. Half of those Alice Cooper songs are live, including well known hits like “I’m Eighteen” and “Billion Dollar Babies.”
Three tracks from Taking Back Sunday’s 2006 album Louder Now, including the band’s best performer “MakeDamnSure.”
The new additions demand that eyeliner be applied, no matter which act you’re a fan of. Details follow.
Alice Cooper
“School’s Out”
“Vengeance Is Mine”
“Poison”
“Billion Dollar Babies” (live)
“I’m Eighteen” (live)
“Under My Wheels” (live)
Taking Back Sunday

“Makedamnsure”

My old bones is waiting on Dead Babies and Black Widow (preferably with the Vincent Price VO)...
Ahahahaha I am so Getting Poison
and well I'm Eighteen only because i've been watching a lot of Freaks and Geeks lately.. and man that song is freakin Catchy
kingme
They release new DLC very two weeks! What a money pit! that said, that list is missing " raped and freezin" "no more mister nice guy" and "unfinished sweet" BDB is one of the greatest albums ever made.
tnmnsquare
TBS FTW
I would of loved of seen spin by Taking Back Sunday but it's not a bad selection for someone with my taste.
I'd rather have Alice in Chains than Alice Cooper
gamecrazychris
@Mit: Yeah, I had Tell All Your Friends pretty much on permanent repeat during all of highschool. I'm embarassed to tell people now that I liked them, but I'll still throw that album on during nice summer days. You can't escape EVERYTHING from your highshool emo years...
monkeysaresilly
no "dead babies"?!
legendofmike
@SatansBestBuddy: Yeah. I absolutely love the live version of "Young Man Blues" that they put on DLC. Hopefully these will be just as awesome.
Tsk, live.
Would have perfered the studio versions.
Guess I'll have to wait and see whether it's like the Who or Thin Lizzy.
@Mit: I'd have preferred the old stuff as well, but those aren't bad songs. Just not as good as their other stuff.
Taking Back Sunday. Sweet! Too bad they're songs from Louder Now. Still awesome though=D
@Joshua Bell: I completely agree. It's my #1 requested DLC. It will happen.
@xiaNaix: Me?
emwurst
@Combichristoffersen: Just as disappointed as you are. But I also want Feed My Frankenstein. And maybe the entire Dragontown album.
@Silent Predator fell on bad days: Alice's songs are brilliant. Sadly, my friends are gonna kill me when I hop on vocals for them.
Wow, this makes me a very happy panda.
And should get my dad to play some tracks with me.

@Gyaruson:
Funny, I don't recall ever mentioning that I disliked those bands/albums.
Joshua Bell
No "Muscle of Love?!!!"
Dick.Blake
s@Gyaruson: Holy crap he didn't say he hated those other albums. Way to over-react!
Ah Alice Cooper's Poison, the soundtrack to every 1980s stripper ever.
@Gyaruson:
EDIT
"I feel sorry that your musical..."
Whoopsies!
@Joshua Bell:
Then you're going to be disappointed with a lot of really good DLC like the Foo Fighters album, Pixies album, Megadeath's album, Stevie Ray's album. I feel sorry that you're musical interests are so narrow-minded.
I'm usually disappointed when I hear an artist will have DLC in Rock Band and then look at the tracks. This time I said, "I hope Poison is on there"....kaching! It's pure 80's pop metal, but I love it. The local classic rock station plays it from time to time. I had it on cassette AND I happen to be OLD!

@aaj111:
I know, right?! Finally!
Been waiting for this since, like, Pong or something.
MagnumPIRules
Billion dollar babies! YES the drums in that sound like so much fun to play, cant wait for poison too. ehh little upset their live tracks but thats what I thought about Boys are back in town at first but when I downloaded it, it was GREAT!
nypad5
@Mit: i would have LOVED to have seen older stuff too, but at least they picked some pretty decent tunes off the newest album.
I'll have to get School's Out just for Dazed and Confused nostalgia.
@Jaziek:
Agreed.
Great news but who wants these crappy live versions?
@Alazar: I would've picked up School's Out if I didn't just spend all my MS points on other songs. I finally got around to getting the Weezer pack, the Silversun Pickups, and the other Yeah Yeah Yeahs song.
@Mit: Yeah, I'm really disappointed they used the new stuff, too.
0x15e
@Joshua Bell:
And THAT will happen when Axl reunites the REAL GNR.
Riiiiiight.
WiccanWarrior
no hey stoopid makes me sadface.
Jaziek
Poisssoooooooooooon!!!!!!
aaj111
No Spark in the Dark or He's Back (The Man Behind the Mask)? :(
@Alazar:
And by that, I mean the Cooper songs, never heard Taking Back Sunday.
Another week, another batch of songs worth buying. Been a while since the DLC was this good.
New Taking Back Sunday ftl. I would've loved stuff from their first couple albums.
"ZOMG U LIEK TBS U A FAG"
What can I say, I used to dig em back in the day, and for whatever reason, bands you liked a long time ago, you still like today, even if they don't suit your current tastes.
@Numanoid:
Ah well, must have been a fair few tips. We had the article here anyway:
[game-sammich.com]
But it's a bit defunct now.
I hope I speak for all of us when I say: \m/YES!\m/
Sadface at the lack of credit :(
Another of my GH series faves makes its way to Rock Band in the form of Billion Dollar Babies... still waiting on Unsung, Fat Lip, Hey You and Bark At The Moon though :^)
School's Out and I'm Eighteen are must own tracks.
VXXXJesterXXXV
I just heard about this from the Rockband community. I heard the School's out track on youtube and it sounded great. Very excited!
I won't ever truly be satisfied with Rock Band DLC until they release Appetite for Destruction.
Joshua Bell
Poison
School's Out
Billion Dollar Babies
I'm Eighteen
Under My Wheels.
...Wow, just wow. "Only Women Bleed", "I Wanna Be Elected" and "Stephen", and I will be happy for ever more.
@xiaNaix: "Crappy" live versions? I've seen Mr. Cooper live, and let me tell you, "crappy" is not a word I'd use.
WE'RE NOT WORTHY! WE'RE NOT WORTHY!
What about Feed My Frankenstein?!
@Joshua Bell: me too. Until Appetite for Destruction comes out on Rock Band, I'll never be satisfied. It's like... you get an unlimited supply of good ice cream... but there ain't no cherry on top.
I'd rather have a King Diamond pack. :/
NyappyHeroism
@Mit: Aw, don't sweat it man. I pop in older Julianna Theory quite a bit and let my emo flag fly. ;P
@Joshua Bell: You didn't, but you indirectly said you weren't satisfied with them.
See, you made me do it again. I can't believe I just took the time to write this.
I can't believe I took the time to write "I can't believe I just took the time to write this."
@GOLD5:
Right back at you. Gyaruson didn't say that Joshua Bell said he hated those albums. He said that Joshua Bell was going to be disappointed in those albums because Joshua Bell said he would not be satisfied until AfD was released. He's equating "disappointment" with "not satisfied"
I can't believe I just took the time to write this.
@SatansBestBuddy: Well, here's the live tracks we're getting.
Billion Dollar Babies:
+ Watch video
I'm Eighteen:
+ Watch video
School's Out:
+ Watch video
Under My Wheels:
+ Watch video
Impressed?
HauntingYourKids
School's Out is an essential track. Sweet.
Tenacious_Z
!!!.
Although, hearing this man as a DJ in my local station is a serious letdown. Great persona, extremely limited vocabulary.
PsycheE
I'll Makedamnsure I don't buy the Taking Back Sunday pack. Makes me wanna drive nails into my ears.
\m/ -_- \m/ on the Alice Cooper pack!!!
biohazrd901
How about Cooper's cover of "Fire" by Hendrix? That's an awesome song
Awesome! I'll pick up "Billion Dollar babies" "School's Out" for sure.
BONERJAM
@VXXXJesterXXXV: I'd say Poison is a must own, and where the hell is Bed of nails??
Feed My Frankenstein? What happened?
@GOLD5:
@Joshua Bell:
@Fokwok:
Goddamn, does anyone read anything anymore. I simply said then he is going to be disappointed with a lot of quality stuff because, and I quote, "I won't ever truly be satisfied with Rock Band DLC until they release Appetite for Destruction." Which means there's a ton of good DLC that he finds no/minimal enjoyment in. I find that sad and narrow-minded. I don't hate him for wanting that album - I want it to! But dude, how can you not find satisfaction with any other DLC besides that?
@DrStrangepork:
Someone with a brain?! I must add as friend. The mindless/intelligent ratio is surely dwindling.
@Gyaruson:
i feel really sorry for you.
why have a go at someone just because they want a certain album on RB.
surely you own cds that other people hate, who says your taste is any better than theirs?
I'm still upset that GH:WT gets "Everything's Magic" and rock Band doesn't :(
Taking Back Sunday should be fun to play, if my friend buys them.
