Warrior Epic Poised For Release
Last month’s closed beta test the massively multiplayer online game Warrior Epic must have gone rather well, as True Games has announced that the game goes live on May 19th.
It seems like only fourteen days ago that the game, developed by Austin-based developer Possibility Space, had entered closed beta. After a quick bout of testing the game is ready for launch, with the servers opening up to accept all the people on May 19th.
“Our beta testers have given us a lot of great feedback and we are confident that the game is now reaching a point where we can provide the Warrior Epic community an engaging and compelling experience,” said Jeff Lujan, Founder and Chairman of True Games.
Mind you this doesn’t mean the beta test is over, as True plans on continuing testing up until the day before launch, inviting a new wave of testers as we speak. Those interested in testing or possibly playing Warrior Epic can find more information at WarriorEpic.com.

This is clearly going to be crap.

@n00b_pwner:
Free2Play-MMO has always been a totally seperate market from P2P-MMO. What it really needs to put a dent on are other games such as Maple Story, GW, Runescape, etc.

Another MMO to waste our lives away in. This one is free to play but has micro-transactions. I wonder if the micro-transaction thing has ever worked?
I can barely tell the difference between this and Runes of Magic. Their PR guys need to work on better publicising these games.
@bloog: And how hot are the chicks AMIRITE?
Any MMORPG we have heard this little about (and has already gone through the open beta) has a exteremely small chance of being worth the time. :( Sorry Warrior Epic /thxbutnothx
@n00b_pwner:
It doesn't really have to to be successful and make money, which would be the goal of any upstart MMO and not to simply dethrone WoW.
Plenty of MMOs out there besides WoW make money from a smaller and dedicated fanbase, they just don't make the millions and millions Blizz does.
All I need to know is how much loot there is.
And how random said loot is.

I don't think this would put a dent in WoW's throne...

Very Niiice!

I can see under her ._. ... :D

I don't think this is an MMO. Despite the fact that it is micro-transaction based, I'll check it out.
It seems like just another step down a path that will take the US's game market to the tangled masses of Korean or Japanese markets, where you can't open a magazine without having half a dozen CDs for free MMOs spill onto your lap.
Thut
@DustbinCarbonara: Judging by ...?
@dr1v3n: It's actually really good. Hardly call it an MMO though.
