@Cinnamon: If this is weird for you, you'll have a nervous break-down when you see some of the drawn-pornography games Japan dishes out.

Usually, these kind of games come out near the end of a system's lifespan. The Dreamcast and Playstation 2 are recent examples of systems which have received pseudo-pornographic 'dating sim' games. Mostly because when they become 'open' platforms, things like quality control on the system owner's part goes bye-bye to milk whatever they can out of the obsolete system's licensing structure (which would have already been heavily discounted). Not sure what this says about the 360, though...

Not sure how accurate this is but I have been aware that even in its feudal ages Japan has always been a sexually liberal country with aspects of homosexuality and other deviations of sexuality being quite open. Towards the end of their lifespan, SS, DC and PC-FX (Japan versions) didn't have major titles but mostly remake of dating simulations and watered down 18+ PC games. It seems it is a trend when a console is dying, these are the only type of games they can focus on. Being an otaku myself, I really don't mind playing one of these on PS3 since I don't have X360 :)
