@Maverick128: Well I think they already accomplished that with Assassin's Creed 2 to be honest... Just climbing modern buildings instead of those old buildings was better... Still I prefered the free-running in AC.. It was just smoother I think.

So same day as Left 4 Dead 2 and a week after MW2? Stop doing this game industry!

There must be some data that says this is a magic day for releases, because as I recall that was the same day 3 years ago that the PS3 was released. also 2 days before the wii was released.

@Brian Beckmann: No you definitely weren't the only one. This game was the poster child for a "love it" or "hate it" experience with absolutely no middle ground. It was weird...

Anyway, I'm part of the "loved it" crowd, so I'm pretty excited for this.

One of the programmers at the small company that I work for is leaving his current position to go and work on this title. I am extremely jealous, as well as confident that he will not steal any swag for me like I asked.

It will be interesting to see how this one differs from the first, and by how much.

@You Are My Friend!: She's exec producer so she's still involved with AC2. My guess is she taking a more low key approach this time around and letting the game speek for itself. Right or wrong she does tend to get a tad more attention then a male producer would. Plus the whole thing with that comic. I think she wants to stay out of the spotlight a little more this time.

Hearing them say "Devloppers" and "Devlopping" instead of Developers and Developing was a major highlight for me. Frickin' hilarious.

It sure is a good thing this game is nothing like the first in terms of design. A 450 persons team! That's amazing! MediaMolecule's is only around 30.

Plus with over 16 unique mission types (and no two missions of the same type feeling the same) and around 200 missions, I'd say it's pretty beefy and varied.

Like the one where you infiltrate a ball at a palace via DaVinci's flying machine, while your friends waft hot air from campfires in the streets to keep you aloft. You land in the palace, find your target, and you see she's being pursued by enemies. You have to escape the palace with her and head out to the docks in the canals and escape by boat while fending off enemies.

That, in essence, is very different to AC1's missions.

@Brian Beckmann: Assassin's Creed got everything BUT gameplay right. There is a lot of room for improvement though, so I'm excited, even though I didn't like the first one. I just hope EA don't just looks at the sales figures and are content with that.

@ShaggyB: Yeah, me too. I couldn't get into the first one and more of the same just doesn't appeal to me. AC2 however, I can't wait for. Hopefully they can get the freerunning to be as much fun as it is in inFAMOUS.

When did it suddenly become acceptable to not show me a live demo of this game? You did it for Fisher, Ubi!

Guess I'll go back to looking at that awesome banner of Raiden.

November 17th is a classic release date.

The trailer was awesome.

I liked the first one a lot. A badass character and a really fun free running system. The only thing that killed it was the repetitiveness.

I heard that they have been listening to the fans and that they are going to make it a fresh experience throughout.

I'm pretty sure MW2 comes out a week before unless something changed today. I don't follow FPSes too much so I didn't look up the MW2 portion of Microsoft's conference.

They were going for the whole 11-10-09 thing.

Am I the only one that didn't like the first one? I think it was the first game I never finished. I just couldn't get the controls system and I just wasn't that impressed with the story. Granted, I didn't get far enough to get into the story. Does anyone else feel the same way?

The trailer was awesome and AC was entertaining for a few hours, but if they can fix the repetitiveness of AC then I'm sold.

@crabperson: It took them a while to make Left 4 Dead, but I imagine it would only take a short time to make new character models, record more dialog, and sculpt new surroundings.

well i know ill be one of few million that pick it up.... I thought the 8 million sold mark for AC 1 was amazing.... especially for a new IP.....
