Battlefield To Return In, Yes, Battlefield 3

EA COO John Pleasants did DICE’s marketing team no favours today when he let slip that Battlefield 3 is not only in development, but is “looking very good”.

Speaking at the William Blair Growth Stock Conference, Pleasants said “I’ve had the luxury of looking at Battlefield 3 over at DICE in Sweden and was highly impressed by the way the team is working on that product. Of course, that’s not [coming out]in the fiscal year, but that is a product that is looking very good”.

With Bad Company 2, Battlefield 1943 and Battlefield Heroes coming out, could there be such a thing as too much Battlefield?

I don’t think so. It’s been ages since we had a “true” Battlefield, so to speak. Bad Company, 1943 and Heroes are more akin to “scaled-down” versions of the Battlefield experience, unlike 2142 which was released on PC and featured full-scale battlefields.

Almost every FPS gamer I know will likely drop whatever else they’ve been playing when this comes out. There’s a lot of multiplayer action around, but nothing quite compares to the Battlefield experience.

So can’t wait for this game, i spent half my life in BF2 servers lol, and i passed up on MW2 after all the bad feedback & hacks, so i think BF3 will be the next big game for me. Great news tho you have made many people very happy
