Relax With These Wii Sports Resort Screens

So do you pick your activity from a menu, or can you freely walk around the island and just pick it up from there?

I'm hoping for the latter!!

This game looks way better then the first, and the first one was fun and additive as hell. This is one of very few games I enjoy from Nintendo's expand the market kind of games.

This is a sure buy for me. Wii sports / Smash bros / Mario Kart is basicly the only games get inevitably played every time my friends come over.

Ive been trying to get them to play more games and some times they do, but nothing sticks like these babies.

Honestly? I still go back and play the original "Wii Sports" from time to time (and, more importantly, all it takes is a little glimpse to get my Dad addicted for weeks on end again), so I have no doubt I'll be getting its Sequel, particularly since MotionPlus sounds like it'll be adding a lot of fun new titles to the Wii's line-up.

Look at the bright side... the drummer spikey hair dude and senator palin were not on the show.

I would wait for reviews on this, but there's really no point because I know I'll be picking it up anyway... and despite their griping, I think 80-90% of wii owners on kotaku will too.

I don't like the sound of sword slicing, followed by bouncing balls....

So I'm guessing there isn't much hope for a Nintendo WaveRace 64 sequel, since they have jet skis in Resort. The Wiimotes could make for a pretty fun experience with a new version.

This turned out to be much better than I was expecting. Archery and Basketball surprised me, it doesn't look like a cheap tech demo like WiiSports and WiiPlay did..

@JahB: I like to imagine you sitting on a swivelly chair stroking a cat in a darkened room laughing evilly as a huge monitor in front of you shows looped footage of small children and animals suffering.

I've already decided to buy this last year because of fencing.....archery and the basketball minigames made it even better

@phinehas: I was thinking of perhaps picking it up for the bundled in motion plus... that fencing game.. I just can't wait for sword fighting god damn it.
BUT i'm gonna wait or reviews to come in first, and might just get motion plus's from other bundles with something potentially more worthwhile.

Apparently motion plus causes you to look like a douchebag in front of a white backdrop. The power of video games!

let's hope Sony's and MS's motion sensor stuff appears quickly, it will render the wii obsolete within weeks and we won't need any more mini-game collections with ps2 graphics.

In this economy I can finally have the vacation I need for $50!

I'd get it. Wii sports can still be fun with friends, friends who don't have wiis of course.

Even though this isn't on my list of games to get, it looks pretty solid. I'm ok with this inevitably selling millions of copies.
