Somehow They’re Squeezing Fat Princess Onto The PSP
Fitting the other team’s cake-engorged princess into the giant PlayStation 3 was easy; how they’ve managed to cram her into the PSP is something we don’t really want to think about.
But cram they have, and Titan Game’s addictive action fantasy blend is indeed coming to the PlayStation Portable in the form of Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake. It’s a port of the upcoming PlayStation Network title, with new features exclusive to the portable version, including six completely new levels, an extended single player mode, and four new game modes – Grim Ripper, Dilapidated, Demolition, and Jailbreak. All of that, plus online multiplayer in both local and infrastructure modes for up to 8 players make Fistful of Cake one hefty package. HA! See what I did there? I made a heavy joke about the game! This is why I should probably be sleeping right now.

@Morpork: Yeah I was wondering abnout that too, but what the others who replied to you said makes sense. Hopefully they'll add it to the PS3 version eventually.
@AngryEddy: Pfft, next thing you know they're gonna tell us that you can cross the ocean without a boat.
@FanBuoy: Not juicy goodness, WITH CAKE!!! :D
@[twitter.com]:
Actually, there is no connectivity, you get the full game either way.
Something to think about when I eventually get a PSP...considering my diabetic state, SOMEone should be able to eat some cake ^_^.
@zoesch: If not a mode, they should at least use that for a trophy name. It's too good to pass up.
Pizookie
@-Xehanort: I'd like to own both versions. I'd like it even more if I could just buy it once for the PS3 and copy the port of it over to the PSP. You hear me, Sony? Make it happen.
Pizookie
wow this just eliminated all interest in Fat Princess. enough with this psp-ps3 connectivity nonsense - i shouldn't have to buy a handheld to get the "complete" experience. looks like the price of games are just the base price now.
I vote to change the name, by the way, to Fat Princess: OM NOM NOM

Release date for the PS3 version yet?? Come on, announcing new portable versions still without a release date for the first one?
casmith07
@armless-phelan: Too much awesome..... But it must done.
Quick, let's petition the devs to replace all cake sprites with sprites of bloodied limbs!
StevenRafael
I hope they port it over to the PSN version for free or as buyable DLC. OR, even better connect the psp to the ps3 for extra goodies! :D
@ShushKebab: Well, the PSP Go will support bluetooth tethering, but being someone who´s complaining about wi-fi, i guess that´s just too complex for you.
Daniel Pizarro Sánchez
@therage33: Hey, I set up the joke, don't I get any recognition?
RELEASE THE PS3 VERSION ALREADY!
That is all.
When did the hate parade from this game evaporate? I kind of figured the movement to villify it was in for the long haul.
Sweet, this is like six more logs that can be thrown into the obese feminist campfire.
Devenu
@zoesch: A zombie mode Fat Princess would be awesome. Instead of feeding the princess cake, you could feed her your fallen comrades and/or enemies.
Or is that too much awesome?
armless-phelan
so wait then the PSP version is the definitive version of the game to buy? Why not give the PS3 game all the extras too isn't there where most people are going to want to play it anyway? Whatever.
Tyr4nt
Clearly the game will be fun. on ps3 or psp. for the people asking about why they didnt make the ps3 one playable on the ps3? well thats pretty obvious,, money. now of course they will say something like 'we want to appeal to both audiences on the ps3 and the psp' but its still about the money. Dont let the man get you down, and buy whichever version you want. they will both be good in different ways.

@Kpibca: T.I.C.K. Operative: Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fist of Plastic - Fistful of Cake
How about movie titles?
A Fistful of Dollars: Fistful of Cake
@ShushKebab: Like my house.
@Morpork: 32 is still more people than 8 though
@curly haired boy: Haha, first time I've laughed at a "the cake is a lie" joke in a while.
@-Xehanort: Here's a new one...
If there's a zombie mode they can call it "Left 4 Cake"
I'm sure Gabe's already left to get his slice.
*rimshot*
Thank you! Thank you! I'll be here all week, please tip your waitress...
@AngryEddy: SO DELICIOUS!!! Join me in singing its praises across the countryside!
Long live the Past Bread Bowl!
...sorry, I got little sleep last night.
@curly haired boy: HAHAHA...my first LOL of the day, kudos! *Places medal around neck*
@curly haired boy: LOL
-Xehanort
@BubbleF**kingBuddy: Wow....
I had the exact same thought.
-Xehanort
@Revenge_of_Nekojin: True.
Buy both.
-Xehanort
@FanBuoy: You should!
-Xehanort
@unangbangkay: The PS3 version will obviously be a must-have. For one thing, the PS3 version hosts 32 players, while the PSP version hosts 8. The PS3 version will certainly look prettier, even if both will look pretty awesome. You'll be playing on a console, and with a different audience.....
Plus, it will release earlier, I'm sure.
All-in-all, I see you're point, but you really should own both versions.
-Xehanort
Why didn't they just make the PSN version of Fat Princess playable on the PSP as well (obviously with scaled down graphics)
Certop
@Neonox: Portal: Fistful of Lies.
curly haired boy
@Revenge_of_Nekojin: Oh, and I'll bet there's also a way to communicate on the go without wires connecting phones to switchboards too, eh futureboy!?
@Kpibca: T.I.C.K. Operative: Portal: Fistful of Cake.
Still waiting for the PS3 version, but now I can't wait to wrap my greasy sausage fingers around the PSP to play this!
Now where did I put my Dominos Pizza Pasta Bread Bowl?
EVERY game should have the subtitle "Fistful of Cake".
Final Fantasy: Fistful of Cake
Super Smash Bros. Fistful of Cake
Halo: Fistful of Cake
Grand Theft Auto: Fistful of Cake
Persona 5: Fistful of Cake
@Morpork: The PS3 version will win out on graphics and multiplayer.
@Ackers: You gave up on the joke to, huh? Yeah, this title is like a broken dream.
BubbleF**kingBuddy
Either way, PS3 or PSP, this is gonna rock... and roll... like a rotund overfed daughter of a royal family...
Shakespeare
I'd make a Gabe Newell joke, but I they've all been made.
BubbleF**kingBuddy
Hmm, it seems as though the PSP version comes out on top, features wise at least. Is that not a bit strange? I'll most likely only buy the PS3 version, so maybe that's why I'm worried.
Morpork
Wow they're really really trying to pump the PSP full of juicy goodness aren't they?
I might get one.
Aw man, even MORE features than the ones we already don't know about?
Color me interested. With cake.
I think I'll pick up both. PSP version I'll probably be able to play with my roommate for once.
They should've just made the first Fat Princess enabled on Remote Play though. Would've saved them the hazzle.
ohhhhh fat people....Always funny no matter what they say or do.
moehannes
Wait, wait. If this has all kinds of crazy exclusive features, what's the point of buying the PSN version?
@ShushKebab: Or sit on the back veranda.
The cake is a.... aw fuk it
Just for the game title alone make it worth buying.
@ShushKebab: Some people have these things in their house called wireless routers.
Exclusive features, huh? I don't even know what features are in the regular version. *sigh*
You have to head for those wi-fi hotspots though....
MAKE ME FAT!
MoeB
Sweet! Like cake!
So what about remote play? Too complex? Worked nicely with Bionic Commando: Rearmed.
That has to be one of the best titles I've ever heard.
I can't wait for this game.
Go to sleep, my friend. Go to sleep.
judging by how innovative the PS3 title looks, I'm super interested to see how this plays out, on a handheld....
is there any other cel shaded games for psp?
