Yes, Blizzard Is Still Aiming To Release StarCraft II This Year

The release dates we’ve been hearing for StarCraft II have been fourth quarter 2009. In an interview with Swedish game site Press2play.TV, StarCraft II lead designer Chris Sigaty says…

…that Blizzard is going to try to get the game out this year. “However,” he adds, “we’re not going to ship the game if it’s not ready.” Blizzard is working hard to get the game out the door, but won’t put out an unfinished title.

This pretty much confirms what Blizzard exec Mike Morhaime said earlier this month, which is that the developer is trying to get the real-time-strategy game out the door this year.

Hopefully the next time Blizzard is asked about the release date, it will say sometime this year!
