How can you not see that as art?! The cover is a United States Marine, battle hardened and filthy, with the destruction of war behind him. That sir is art and just becouse you can’t recognize it as so, doesn’t mean it isnt.

How else can you really ‘describe’ Call of Duty on a cover? Without a gun it just seems like a dude in front of explosions.

I agree with Paulus – you don’t really stare at the cover. The cover doesn’t really change my opinion of a game or actually have any benefit or disadvantage on me wanting it.

I look for gameplay footage, screenshots and look at the back if its a game i haven’t heard of.

With that being said, the cover sucks. Hopefully its just that fake box EB GAMES have up in the Pre-Order section before the real copies arrive. Believe me that won’t be the real one cause Activisions logo ain’t on there and that HAS to be on there ya know!

Judging by the the size of the case behind the 360 one, that would most likely be the pc case and it seems to be the same. I wonder if this is the final box art. I don’t care too much anymore for box art, mainly due to the difference in regions ie. us > eu > au, some publishers tend to change it and the us always seems to get the better looking art. Also i like this title now, it doesn’t seem so distant from the cod series, after all its a sequel.

@Anonymous: Dude, do you play your games when you buy them, or just stare at the covers? Perhaps you find GAME and EB to be some sort of art gallery, what with all the box art on display.

Once I’ve bought my games they’re either in the console or on the shelf in the box, sideways, spine out. Mind you, if that spine isn’t a masterpiece…

Woah, is it just me or does that cover cry bland? I hope the PC gets something better. I might have to put this one in a paper bag before sitting it on my video game shelf.
