Are These Cat Lips On DC Universe’s Comic-Con Poster?

MK vs. DC was teased in the same way. I visited Midway HQ and saw the list of heroes/villains in the game, and I was told to keep it quiet. Yeah, like no one could have figured out that Wonder Woman would have been in the game...

Yeah, this is teasing us in what way? We all know staple DC heros and villains are going to be in the game as its an MMOG. Big deal. Want to surprise us, show us more of the gameplay already.

@Archaotic: Gah, I had a really good comment but something happened to the page while I was typing. Too much to retype. Summary: I think the point videos are more of a demonstration of what the heroes are able to do in game as opposed to an actual announcement of them being in the game. Yes, Doomsday is in the game, but he could pick up really large objects and throw them around. Can't do that in your everyday MMO. Yeah, The Flash is in the game, but in what other game do you have a character running up sides of walls and doing battle upside-down. Damn that was a long summary.

@Keith_e_fresh: I am a few months behind, I try to catch up when I can. But a yellow or purple Lantern would work just as well!

@mister5000: TBH, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't leave the lantern corps out until they can make an expansion for it to tie into the movie. With all these new lantern corps that would be fine content for a whole expansion.

@Archaotic: It will be interesting to see if they can fit Aquaman into the game. Granted, he is a DC stalwart but is there going to be a water world in the game itself? I guess Aquaman isn't COMPLETELY useless on the land but he is pretty damn close! I don't think the lips belong to Catwoman though, I think I have uncovered the mystery!!!

@Archaotic: You wanting a Booster Gold trailer but not seeing the point of a Doomsday one (and calling him a "useless character") is a great example of a hardcore fan who can't comprehend how to appeal to the general public. Not to mention Doomsday was the main villain of the biggest storyline of all time. Whether you personally like the character or not - that indicates he is far from "useless." "Regardless of whether or not he managed to kill Superman 10 years ago" - I like how you think that's some throwaway point that means nothing. !activate nerd argument! - Plus he whooped Darkseid's ass.

@Archaotic: Wow, I hadn't really thought about the possibility of being able to become a full-fledged member of certain factions like the Green Lantern Corps. That would open up all kinds of amazing campaign premises: Become a Gotham Outsider, a member of Intergang, become a detective and team-up with the Question (now THATS a lesser known character I would love to get their own trailer)... hell, then what's to stop you from eventually joining the JLA or JSA? Amazing potential. If that's the case they just gotta make a trophy/achievement where your character is featured on an Alex Ross cover :)

Hey, my cat's lips don't look anything like that! Plus, she's got these cute little vampire fang tips sticking out from underneath her upper lip... AND her nose looks different AND she's got whiskers AND her face is like totally covered in this fine fur! So my analysis of this is... that they're human lips! XD

@Archaotic: I thought it was a neat story arc when Doomsday developed true sentience and had to deal with the emotions of remorse, love, and kindness. It turned him into a completely different character which was more developed and interesting. Then DC had to fuck it up and turn him back into a mindless monster.

I was reading on how this game lets you improve your armor without altering your avatar. I've been wanting something like this for a long time.

My experiences with MMOs so far has either been either A) I hate the way my character looks at the beginning, and thus need to invest tens of hours into leveling them to get the cool looking armor; or B) I love the way my character looks at the beginning and hate how their looks changes as I'm forced to equip stronger armors just to survive battles.

I think with this route you're able to make your character look impressive right from the beginning and not have to compromise later on when other games force you to equip eyesore-armors just to be strong enough to progress through the game.

@mister5000: I don't think you can be any of the actual DC heroes. You have to make your own, and support or go against DCs super heroes and villains.

@mister5000: You see, I could dig a Booster Gold trailer. He's not a big, well-known character (well, compared to Supes or Bats), but people love him. Not to mention they could do something fun and goofy with it, as opposed to "GUESS WHO'S IN THE GAME THAT YOU ALREADY KNEW WAS GOING TO BE IN IT!"

Seriously. They did a press release announcing that The Flash was in DCUO. The Flash. What's next, an animated TV movie announcing Aquaman being in the game?

Well it does have the usual Gotham Femme Vibe to it. Now that I read the link yeah it's Catwoman but really they need to showcase a few C-Z Listers. Though I doubt we'll see anyone from the Kirbyverse besides the New Gods. Maybe not even them since they're now in another multiverse.

What I'm wondering about all this is why Sony feels the need to tease the inclusion of certain characters. Did Doomsday really need his own trailer? No. But we keep getting these major, pivotal DC characters teased like it's a surprise, instead of them showing off people we might NOT expect to be in the game...

I guess I just don't get the point in it. We all knew Catwoman would be in the game, it's not like she's one of Batman's longest-running rivals or anything.

I guess it's possible. Catwoman is popular and all, I'd be surprised if she wasn't in the game.
