@theunholy1978: Sanford would have had to play against Honda with his Cammy. That match would've been uglier than the Akuma/Honda matchup he settled for.
I did want him to use his Cammy again, though.
Sanford's Cammy would've eaten Daigo's Ryu for lunch, though I don't know how it would've fared against Justin's Rufus.

i turned off the chat feature almost immediately. within the first 5 seconds, ignorant hicks were typing the most racist, homophobic bullshit i've seen this side of an Xbox LIVE deathmatch. very lame :(
As soon as Justin switched from Rufus to Boxer, it was on like Donkey Kong. If he hadn't, I think it would have been over much quicker. Daigo had his Rufus beat every which way.
It's amazing how a jerky, constantly dropping, badly streaming video still made me sit on the edge of my seat.
And stay up until 6:50am.
I think I need some sleep.

@funcmode: It was a great match and Justin came so close... it's almost sad. But I recon that Justin might just be able to win it next time.
@funcmode: I'll never get over the smile of amazement on Valle's face as Sabre's Sakura successfully rushed him down for all he was worth.

Boxer was the most logical choice to play against Daigo's Ryu, too. It took Daigo two whole matches to adjust!
If only Justin's execution using Boxer was as good as other competitors, he might've taken Daigo down.

Hell, they made Alex Valle smile, too....while he was getting thrashed by her.
i didn't expect Mike Ross to do too well, though, despite his amazing performance at Devastation.
I think the low point was Marn's C. Viper. I main her and couldn't make heads or tails of over half of what he was trying to do. Viper relies on Cammy-level execution to play properly, and Marn's execution was inconsistent.

awww. missed the GGXX and tekken finals :( these were the ones i was looking foward the most. i wonder if they will have the clips for download later on, cant say im particularly happy with the streaming quality. sound seems to be out of sync.
I'm going to have to wait till tomorrow to see the SFIV finals. Damn you timezones!
Very good matchups in SCIV at the moment though and the 2on2 3S was a great idea.

It's the fact that American Sagats are so poor in execution. That's how American Sagats play, and it's why they don't dominate.
Watch players like RF, Ojisanboy or Mago. They don't miss moves with Sagat, and they win matches convincingly.

@excel_excel: I'm sorry but you're wrong here. Metaknight is extremely overpowered and widely considered, by far, the best character in the game.
Sagat is the best character in SF4, sure, but absolutely not unbeatable and fairly not abused.

@wtf_G: Americans just play different styles. Saying that Americans "drop ultras" or don't know how to hit confirm is just ignorant. Those are fundamentals of play. That's like saying Kobe Bryant goes to the playoffs without knowing how to dribble.

Its not that Brawl suck or anything, but SSB community just couldn't agree with each other. They even did a strike on not entering Evo some year ago, so Evo decided to stop hosting SSB until they grow up.

@Meeeh: 3S players are all playing in SF4, since 3S is basically a relic at this point. But not all 3S players are automatically good at 4.
GG players don't all play BB, in fact, the amount of good BB players here in the states is low. HeartNana came over from japan, and took the singles tournament yesteday, with a few US natives giving him a tough time. He came back from losers bracket to win twice in the grand finals.

Just a quick question, for all those who have watched EVO so far, what's the biggest disappointment you've seen?
They pushed back the start 30 minutes. Won't broadcast for another 15 minutes.
Daigo, DAN and Wong. Two of them are making the finals.
