Guilty Gear 2 Gets Long Overdue Aussie Release
Not content with releasing King of Fighters XII in late August, distributor All Interactive Entertainment have let us know they’ll now be bringing another cult fighting series to Australia in September.
Guilty Gear 2: Overture will launch in September on Xbox 360. It was originally released in Japan in Nov. 2007 and the US in Oct last year.
Developer Arc System Works has added some strategy to what was traditionally a one-on-one fighting series, letting you command a group of fighters across a 3D environment with up to four players online.
My vivid imagination is picturing Dynasty Warriors with some sort of capture the flag mode. If you’ve played the overseas releases, feel free to correct me in the comments.
Check out the new 3D graphics below.

Forget that! Who’s releasing the REAL continuation of Guilty Gear, aka BlazBlue?
Heavily seconded. Have you heard anything, David?
I’m chasing it up.
I too, would be very interested in hearing about a PAL region version of Blazblue — thanks for any light you can shed, David…
second Steves comment. I couldn’t give a shit about this game, were the hell is an Australian release for BlazBlue?!
I’m glad I don’t have to wait for a local release of BB, as I’ve got a PS3.
This though, I’ve been looking for a copy of the European version but can’t find it anywhere. I’ll have to keep an eye out for it. Hopefully it’s priced accordingly.
