This morning, a teaser trailer appeared for a mysterious new title. One featuring a giant robot’s… foot. It was heavy, it was clunky, and got many people excited it was for Mechwarrior 5. And hey, it just might be!
IGN say that tomorrow morning they’ll be running an interview with a Mr. Jordan Weisman, who will explain what the trailer is all about. Jordan Weisman runs the company that now owns the rights to Mechwarrior. Jordan Weisman formed FASA, who used to own the rights to Mechwarrior.
So, yeah, it’s probably a new Mechwarrior game.

Does anyone honestly believe that a new MechWarrior game released today in the world of “Streamlining for the wider audience” would carry anywhere near the in depth customisation that the previous titles had?
Best you can hope for here is an arcade style giant robot shooter, which in itself isnt necessarily a bad thing. But it wouldnt be MechWarrior like you remember it.

So everyone that says the machines move slow and clunky, you have to understand the mw5 looks more realistic than the older games. If machines were really this size, they wouldn’t move real fast anyway. If this version has more realistic values than older versions, I’d say bring it on.
