Japanese LittleBigPlanet Site Ain’t Afraid Of Posting Ghostbusters DLC

The Japanese LittleBigPlanet website beats North America to the punch, revealing downloadable Ghostbusters costumes of Slimer, all four Ghostbusters, and the Littlest Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.

Media Molecule and Sony have been teasing the Ghostbusters downloadable content for LittleBigPlanet for a good week now. While we’re still waiting for the big reveal as of this writing, visitors to the Japanese LBP site already know which costumes will be available for purchase next week.

Lucky Japanese people. I sure hope they reveal the outfits in North America soon, so I can be all excited too.

I really hope it is a level pack, not just costumes. There is great scope for cool items that could be used in other levels. I really hope people don't just recreate the movie narratives.
That said there are already awesome Ghostbusters 1 and 2 levels out there made without the use of any level pack, just some choice quotes and awesome ideas.

That's the problem with companies decentralized by region. They've got to worry about their own divisions stepping on each other's toes, and not just their competitors. The Internet makes news and leaks global. They should know this by now.

Honestly I think Sony have something here that is highly marketable. They should physically make these and sell them and include them in like bundles. Sony PS3 God of War 3 bundle with exclusive Kratos Sackboy? I'd buy that!

@twesterms 2nd: I was about to say "the one with the trap," but they appear to all have traps. Traps that shoot proton streams....
But they shoulda had Ray's goggles be another piece of selectable headgear.

@ShadowOdin isn't american: Do you mean the Sega Genesis game!? I loved that one, though leaving out Winston was a crime. I also enjoy how in that game Stay Puft can shoot fire and lasers from his eyes. That whole game is an example of using creative license. None of it quite makes sense with Ghostbusters.

I sort of backed away from LBP months ago due to my rather awful level creation skills. That being said, all it takes is Stay Puft and a Proton Pack to bring me back in. And while Mr. Stay Puft and the Slimer hat are very cool, there's something to be said about the No-Ghost outfit. "Classy" is a good word for it.

They're cute... but they don't really look a thing like the GhostBusters. I like the Ghost icon and Slimer- but since when did the 'boys' have Faux Hawx? Or an Afro? I hope it's free. Or that you can DL it in pieces.

@Neo_X: Yeah, his hair wasn't anything like that in the movie. They probably just gave him an afro because, stereotypically, that's a black guy's hair cut. For that they are completely retarded. Could've just given him a regular haircut and a mustache. Well, Japan isn't really known as a global bastion of racial sensitivity.

I really hope that they eventually add costumes from the TV show and the original movie. Egon's frizzy hairdo from the movies... well, I want it. I'm not so sure about Winston's mini-fro, though.

YES, Stay Puft Man. He was such an amusing boss on the old Sega-game I used to play (I think it's one of those games where they "forgot" to add Winston)

Now I only miss the ability to create enormous Sackboys.

I know people who would've laughed so hard if I had said that out loud.

This costume pack is full of win. I haven't bought any LBP DLC but I will gladly pay for these. Especially the Slimer and Stay Puft costumes.

Though, to be honest, photoshopped lightning lost its appeal to me a long time ago, because it's common.

So I Winston having a Afro seems a little off that they'd just slap that on him. Poor guy always did get the tail end of things. Other than that though this is awesome! Stay Puft FTW!

@One Man Freak Show: Yeah. I agree with you. Don't know what's going on with the hair. I guess Egon's is okay but they should've gone with the goggles for Ray (I saw someone on here had posted a drawing which looked really good), a receding kinda scruffy, with more on the sides, hair for Venkman and a much much smaller 'fro for Zeddemore. I swear that 'fro is already in the game anyway...

CLEARLY the character costumes are JUST the jumpsuits and traps (why some have proton pack laser beams I don't know), and maybe Egon's hair. Everything else is existing costume pieces (glasses, fro etc.). Everything else is spot on IMO (granted, the no ghost costume is failry lame)

@Verno77: I think you'll find that each of the four costumes is 200yen (guessing Yen as this is Japan) and that the GhostBusters/LBP pack is 600Yen.

Is it me or does this look like of weak? The slimer looks great, but the others? Two have the same hair but different colors and Venkman was balding in the movies, so really doesn't look like him as I guess the black haried one is Venkman and the brown haired one is Ray? Egon is easily in the front, and of course Winston is easy to spot. THe stay puft is ok, the face should be more like the chracters.
