Also, that stick-figure voice (@ ~1min and later) is extremely disturbing, in a subtle sort of way.

Well, the end of this trailer gave us some useful info.

they do have the trailer in english on the US PSN. Not as long as this one, and it doesn't have a female voice, but it does have the Animals shouting Katamari Damashi.

@RanChan03: The series hasn't really evolved that much past all these years but yeah, the soundtrack alone is worth yet another go, even if it was just remixes this time around. ^^;

That trailer was posted on famitsu's website last week. I thought this was a translated version. Still one of my favorite trailers though since it shows more stuff finally. Definitely gonna log into home and snag that stuff.

@Ursus-Veritas: Most Japanese ads are ludicrously short. There are a few long ones, but most are about as long as this.

This game brings the joy to pants.

Holy sh*t, that made me supremely uncomfortable ... which is awesome.

It's kind of like an actor whose character you hated so much that you have to give credit of the highest order to the performance. (Not to be confused with hating the actual actor.)

Also, everything in the future should capitulate via sock puppet.

I want that prince puppet. I want it badly.

I love these games... too bad I don't own a PS3. :(

@Ursus-Veritas: I used to work in advertising, (not in Japan though) but was generally told that ads are too expensive to make in Japan that most of them just have a 15 second or at best a 30 second cut because of the cost.
I think the long ones are just promos for products that get played at events or such but not on regular TV.

All I want is the music, then I can put it on my usb and listen to it when playing Beautiful Katamari

In the UK it's not unheard of (especially with the artier ads) for there to be a long cut, which is shown once or twice in some prime-time slot, and several 15- or 30-second cuts of the same, which get the heavy play.

@WhatTheFrag: I dunno, it just seems whenever I see a Japanese trailer, or an advert for something, it seems to go on for a bit. Maybe its just specific adverts that they release like a trailer.

This is just another reason for me to buy a PS3. But, I am more interested in buying the Prince puppet. The only information that I can find on him is that they were only given out as part of a contest.

If I cannot find one, then it looks like I will have to learn how to sew. With my beer. Yum.

I think you're the first to say they're actually long. I doubt these 'long commercials' actually get airplay.

Why do the japanese always get rather long trailers/adverts compared to the US and Europe?

Look I'm going to get a PS3 eventually... once I stop buying limitless amounts of Gundam Model Kits, Revoltech Figures, Figma figures, Transformers, and Tons of other stuff, so all Sony needs to do is stop everyone else from releasing new stuff for something like 6 months...
Alright, that's a lie, I'm never going to stop buying all that other stuff, I'm just going to have to search for a way to save up cash around it some way...

I'm not a Home fan, but I'll visit for some Katamari swag. lol. I love those games. No lie. I've bought them all so far. I'm a sucker for the Prince of all Cosmos.

The only thing I don't like about this is it looks like 90% of the original games are in this with very little new content, other than a level or two and new graphic types to play with. I mean, I already own KD 1, 2, PSP and the iPhone versions--give me something NEW Bandai!
