LittleBigPlanet: We’re Ready To Believe You
Not much of a teaser this, is it? Unless there’s some obscure British pop culture icon that also says “who ya gonna call?” we’re somehow not aware of, it’s pretty clear we’ll soon be getting some Ghostbusters DLC for LBP.
Cuddly proton packs? Big-eyed slimer? The chance to create a level where Janine is brought together with her true love, Egon Spengler? We’d like all of those things. Those and the revelation that the “Sacktue of Liberty” can carry four sackboys in its head, and stomp around a level to Jackie Wilson.

@Soyerzzz: But the updates go with supporting the game. The updates are why you can play other levels without owning the DLC. The stuff is being installed already it's only when you buy the DLC that it unlocks for your own use.

It's still nothing, try downloading CounterStrike 1.5 over dial-up. 121MB, took 8 hours.
To put that in perspective, at 256kB, you're looking at around 20 minutes for that 35MB patch. Quite a wait if you're wanting to play online right now, but nothing if you can leave it downloading while you eat dinner.

@716: usual $2 a pop? most sack costumes are free. Level packs tend to cost along with sticker packs, but most sackboy outfits are free.

Sure, it happens occasionally, like with the Sacktue of Liberty costume this week. But I'm betting these Ghostbuster ones are gonna be the usual $2 a pop.

I'm sure they'll take advantage of the partnership, but I don't think they'll be releasing Disney levels. They've got other stuff they're focusing on.

stop with the dlc!!!!!!!!!!!!! either do something significant or dont do anything at all. or make most of it free. the fucking dlc far exceeds the price of this game.
i know the game wasnt a huge success but theres no need to try to squeeze the rest of those of us who DID buy the game. yes i actually bought and for $60. i even sold my wii and bought a ps3 for this very game. but i really regret it. had i known it was going to be some sort of virtual clothing store i would have seriously never bothered.
theres so much untapped potential thats going to waste. and the potential this game had is being buried beneath a pile of virtal doll clothes.

This makes me happy. I don't have a PS3, but this is another sign that the Ghostbusters craze may hit full force again. And we all know what that means... a new generation addicted to Ecto-Cooler!

Hmmmmmm actually I always wanted to mix McWhertor's beard with Fahey's glasses and giving it a fine tune with Owen's T-shirt and AJ's scarf. Of course we add the Ashcraft Avatar onto Owen's shirt, give it Totilo's old MTV mic and finish it off with Cresente's hair.
