Milla Jovovich Confirms “Number Four”

My first instinct is to comment that the Resident Evil movies should be more focused on Zombies rather than how they've done it so far with Zombies essentially being the 'wallpaper' of the movies. the first few games were about Zombies - but the movies really lost that. Now the games have gone and lost the Zombie aspect as well, sure great game play, but we really need more Zombies in both the movies and the games.

@Shinta: The remake or the original? The original Day of the Dead was fantastic and is my favorite of the three pictures (Night, Dawn, Day). Land of the Dead and Diary of the Dead were his most recent efforts, and while not being nearly as good as the original three, were still better than most other things with zombies in them nowdays.

The Day of the Dead remake... I won't watch. The Dawn remake was bad enough.

I was also surprised by how much I also disliked Degeneration, though. Instead of rehashing the plot for the second game and making it take place in an airport, why didn't they just make the script reflect the entire second game? Sure you could say Dawn of the Dead was that, but only on the surface. There was so much more going on in Dead Rising. Not Oscar winning material but definitely more than just zombies.

I think Milla is way more exotic and interesting than Megan Fox (although at least she schooled Bay in one of her latest comments).

The last movie was Fallout with Zombies. The movies splintered into a different direction after Raccoon City was nuked.
The games have gone a MGS "terrorists want them as weapons of mass destruction" story route while the movies just let the Raccoon City infection spread all over the world and now there's only a few human survivors battling the horde.

If Mila is confirmed then I'll watch it.

The Resident Evil movies are bad Video Game movies. However they're pretty decent action movies. I'll probably see this one because its more mindless zombie shootan action that i will probably enjoy.

@RtFusion: I like Milla Jovovich when she's in other movies. It's not really her acting that brings down these movies, it's the writing and general direction. The Alice character shouldn't exist, and as far as canon goes, she doesn't.

I think Paul W.S. Anderson must have some sorta cuckold fetish, since he seems to get Milla naked as often as he can, and when she is clothed, she's permanently engaged the high-beams. Works for me, since it's all the enjoyment I've got outta these movies so far...

(Yeah I know most people hate 2, but nemesis really made the movie great for me he's probably my number 1 video game villian)

Anyways I really disliked the whole america is a desert and really everything extinction brought to the table besides showing wesker a little bit.

Mila is definately attractive but. The Resident Evil movies are a huge let down. Fans expected to see survival horror instead they get some clone with God Mode enabled break dancing over Zombie dogs. At least that's what I got out of it. The original Dawn of the Dead by George Romero is the definition survival horror. I would've loved to see George Romero's version of Resident Evil. Shame they chose Anderson over Romero.

Guys don't trash it yet! Resident Evil 4(The game) is the best Resident Evil and turned things around for the franchise. Maybe Resident Evil 4(The Movie) will turn things around like the 4th game did.

RE: Extinction = a tad better due to the fan service we received in the form of seeing the actual S.T.A.R.S. team and Nemesis go at it. Sienna Guillory as Jill Valentine? Nerdgasmic in more ways than one.

I think the RE series is way better than it needed to be and way better than I expected. Even RE3, which was not as good as the first two, was still more watchable than most of the scifi/zombie horror out there. I was impressed with the first one and watched the second with passing intrigue. The first I dutifully rented (after paying to see the first two in theatres).

Cool. Another bad movie.
