New Shin Megami Tensei Game Coming To DS

5:00PM July 22, 2009 | Brian Ashcraft

It’s been five years since the last totally new Shin Megami Tensei game, but here we are: A totally new Shin Megami Tensei game with the title Strange Journey.

The South Pole is covered by mysterious matter, and players are part of a crackerjack team sent to investigate — in that groovy outfit.

Atlus launched a teaser site for the game, but accidently revealed the game the same day that launched. The teaser site ends on July 24.

The game is bound for the Nintendo DS, slated for release on October 8 and priced at ¥6,279 (US$67).

Thanks Henry!

I think the article is trying to say that it IS SMT4.

Devil Survivor and Persona are spin-offs. Not the main franchise. However Persona has proven to exceed the main franchise in sales, so I guess you can say Persona is now ATLUS’ mothership title from a business stand point.
