I really should have held onto Motorstorm... seeing the DLC for this come out is maddening, as I thought they wouldn't actually support the game this much.

@J-Sharpie: you shoulda said the past few days was kinda week.

    blue_jeep

  • blue_jeep
    What?No Trine?

  • J-Sharpie
wow This past few weeks was kinda weak. (and no pun intended)
  • DetectiveMan
Meh, nothing interesting in there.*sigh* maybe next week..
  • Frank
    Finally, the MC:LA combo update...
  • Skyman747
Glad to see the battlefield demo. Only $15 is a steal, especially since a lack of maps is just a DLC away.
And also, off topic, but I just noticed, are there a lot more star commenters, or is it just me?

    Skyman747

  • Rinaldus
@Bialia: Agreed, Bethesda shouldn't announce the DLC for late June unless its, I dunno, going to come out late June?

  • Rinaldus
Where's my god dammed Fallout DLC?

  • domhnall
@Foxstar is in love with Kotaku's two Brians.: I daresay it is actually better than the last two weeks.
  • jellyfish
Was going to get for the low price, but glad that I've tried the demo first: it is pretty much like a DEMO to me. Guess I shouldn't complain coz you get what you've paid for. Thanks, I will save my $15 for the next CoDWaW map pack (if there will be one).

  • DigitalHero
Downloaded Battlefield 1943 a few hours ago. A good deal for $15, but the lack of maps may irk some people. Good thing that can change with a DLC update.
  • AnonUserAnonymous
@zach a mac rack alack: Its fun. If you've played BF2 before then you'll like it. I have yet to purchase it but I have given the demo a run for my entire 30 minutes. Small game, but worth the 15$. I wonder if they will gradually expand on the title with DLC. Something tells me there are classes, maps, and modes purposely held back to be released as DLC, besides the map and mode that releases once the 360 or PS3 base reaches 43 million kills.
  • evilralphwiggum
PSone Classics? Those two games? Classic? C'mon now...
  • Hardcore
Where the hell is my Fallout 3 DLC? Could SOMEONE at the Tower give us an official answer as to why the DLC is a MONTH overdue?
  • Foxstar is in love with Kotaku's
    Very junky week.
  • Bialia
@boots555: Operation Anchorage was supposed to appear in late June, with the additional DLC to come in installments about 4-6 weeks apart.

  • Senten
Still no F-king Fallout 3 DLC grrrr.Guess ill just wander around the wasteland for awhile longer
  • PlatformJunkie
@emwurst: It's already in Japan, so I'm sure that's not a problem. I'm thinking about creating a JP account to get it, but I don't wanna get banned or anything.

    PlatformJunkie

  • SphericalCrusher
Ghostbusters demo ftl. They should really add a Prototype demo and maybe a few other things.
  • Azriel101
@(Zombie) Jolan: yeah seriously, where the hell is trine??

    Azriel101

  • pukellunkett
@PlatformJunkie: I'm gonna trade my copy of Fallout 3 in for a used copy of the GOTY version. Sure, I'll have to wait even longer than the rest of you, but screw it.
  • bangbangblah
Wasn't Spec Ops a $10 game when it was released? Makes that $6 seem awfully expensive.

    bangbangblah

  • Archaotic
@Leonharfs: It's the only one in the series I don't have, so I'm grabbing it.
  • Leonharfs
@Archaotic: Woo, Wild Arms 2! I already have it, so I'm not sure I'd buy it again...

    Leonharfs

  • wazzzup16
@Archaotic: Are you sure you don't want the very compelling ULTIMATE BOARD GAME COLLECTION?!

    wazzzup16

  • MiltonZep
Damn you Trine for not coming out! C'mon Sony, get the ball rolling again!
  • nflsonic
@(Zombie) Jolan: Just recently heard about Trine and was kinda getting excited for it as well. But the demo is out for the PC on Steam. Downloaded it already but haven't tried it out yet.
  • nflsonic
Downloading Battlefield 1943 as I type! Going to take quite some time over this DSL though... I need to switch back to cable.
  • Zepultura
Is it just me or did they yoink the FUEL demo from PSN? Cus I dont see it anywhere but see all kinds of sites saying its there today... (I know its on both Live sites but they also say PSN).

    Zepultura

  • Sollus
Eh, that's a little light on good content this go around. It's a good thing since I can't really afford to spend any more money at the moment.

  • Stephen Andrew Butler
Still no Fat Princess or Disgaea 3 DLC that NA wasn't going to get anyway...

    Stephen Andrew Butler

  • boots555
@Bialia: Was it suppose to come this fast? I thought the DLC was due in the later part of t his year.

    boots555

Good update, I got the funds for BF1943 put aside so I must go play soon.

  • THEMISSING
    @Archaotic: ok.

    THEMISSING

  • Laxcat
@(Zombie) Jolan: I've been holding out for the PS3 version as well, but it's hard when there's no certain date. Sony must be sitting on it for strategic release date.
  • (Zombie) Jolan
@emwurst: Should be the Green Day pack, and the Mayhem pack, although since my PS3 refuses to get online atm I cannot verify.
  • Northern Cat
Does anybody know what the heck is Buzz Jr. Robo Jam? Because 5$ is a good impulse buying price...
  • Helba
@Laute: You gotta play it OMG it's like.... SRPG pron or something. It's just too awesome for words.
  • Helba
    WOOT for Cross Edge DLC!!!!
  • ca$h is now... The Day Man!
I wonder if the 360 and PS3 versions of BF1943 use the same EA servers, and they just keep the different console data separated. If so I feel bad for the PS3 users, because that game is still a pain to get working.
  • Revenge_of_Nekojin
@(Zombie) Jolan: I thought it was this week too. I kinda got excited for it as well. Damn.

    Revenge_of_Nekojin

  • Link257
@Tom Clancy's Samuraidino: Yeah I just picked it up a couple of weeks ago when it was on sale on Amazon so I didn't have to deal with the bugs when it first came out. I would be pretty bummed if something like that happened since that's like buying a game that's essentially broken.
  • Tracid
Hmm where are those cool games I kept reading about like that zombies game and infernal pool?
  • Archaotic
Hm, nothing I really want this week. Guess I'll keep on waiting for Trine, Wild ARMs 2, or Marvel vs. Capcom 2. It's probably for the best, anyway, I really shouldn't be spending any money so close to being homeless.
  • Ecks
@emwurst: Ape Escape: On The Loose for PSP is a port of Ape Escape for PS1, they mapped the right analog stick controls to the face buttons instead.

    Ecks

  • Ricardo Freitas
@MoeB: It's worth a download on any platform:/ Found it kinda boring though and the graphics are okay, honestly I don't think that extra resolution and better textures would matter that much to me:XX

    Ricardo Freitas

  • pot3ntial2suck
@(Zombie) Jolan: Screw Trine. WHen the heck are they going to release Parappa the Rappa for PS3 as a ps1 classic? They released it for PSP months ago. What gives?
  • Alternate
@MoeB: Well, it IS free, so its worth it. One day I went and enqueued all the downloads on PSN and actually ended up buying a few games that I was surprised that I liked. It's always worth a shot. That and Ghostbusters was on Kotaku's Summer Must Play list.

    Alternate

  • emwurst
@PlatformJunkie: Wouldn't work. PS1 classics have to be compatible with both the PS3 controller and the PSP. If you'll remember, Ape Escape heavily relied on dual analog sticks to play (the game was basically a glorified tech demo for the Dualshock controller). PSP only has one analog stick, therefor compatibility goes down the drain, and the masses weep. But that doesn't mean that Sony won't release a PSP incompatible version. Cross your fingers.

    emwurst

  • SundhaFantazmical

I had heard somewhere that there was going to be a demo for Punisher: No Mercy. I guess that isn't going to happen?

    SundhaFantazmical

  • (Zombie) Jolan
When does Trine come out? I mistakenly thought it was today and got all excited.
  • Bialia
@PlatformJunkie: Yeah, I've considered it, whether I do that or not absolutely depends on if my saves are still good. I have no desire to start from scratch again!

    Bialia

  • Wainut
I love all that free Cross Edge DLC. it's too good.

    Wainut

  • PlatformJunkie
@Bialia: I'd just wait for the GOTY edition to get all the DLC for the price of the base game. Even if you already have the game, I'd trade it in, unless your saves and whatnot wouldn't carry over.

    PlatformJunkie

  • FiveSpeed
The Ghostbusters demo is a go, but no purchases this week. Still waiting for the upcoming but stagnant Capcom offerings such as MvC2, and RE2.

    FiveSpeed

  • Alternate
Im picking up the 1943 demo to satiate my Battlefield hunger until I can scrape the cash together for a PSN card. Although, its probably for the best, what with the massive server fail that happened at launch with the 360 version. Honestly, you'd think at this point, game companies would be more prepared, instead of constantly saying "whoops, we thought our game would be unpopular so we totally skimped on the server funds." Don't they realize the game being good at launch is one of the most important aspects of spreading the word about their new game?

    Alternate

  • PlatformJunkie
Sony, can we PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get Ape Escape in the U.S.? Thank you, PlatformJunkie

  • Dope Boy Hero
*kool-aid man* OHHH YEAAAAA AN EDIT BUTTON. But I leave to download the GhostBusters demo. Peace.

  • Tom Clancy's Samuraidino
@Link257: I had one major bug with the PS3 version of it where i wasnt able to look north west,if I did all I saw was complete darkness.Stopped playing the game for a week or two till the trophy patch came out which somehow fixed the problom
  • Laute
I'm surprised by the amount of cross edge content that's free. Then again, I still haven't played it yet. Sitting there on my shelf, unused.
  • Link257
@Tom Clancy's Samuraidino: lol, sad but probably true. I was expecting a ton of bugs when I picked up fallout 3 for the PS3 but it hasn't been that bad at all. It froze once or twice, but I save often so it's never too bad
  • Bialia
@Tom Clancy's Samuraidino: Honestly, I don't know why I'm letting myself get all worked up over this DLC anyway, because you're probably right. At this rate, I'll be downloading it after Broken Steel comes out, 'cause I started a new game a week or two after the DLC was announced for PS3, and wound up maxing out my character and finishing the game. Again.

    Bialia

  • MattB
@Tom Clancy's Samuraidino: Hopefully fixing such bugs is the reason for the delay. As a regular player of Bethesda games though I have little doubt serious bugs will still slip through.
  • emwurst
Nothing in the vein of Rock Band this week? That's a shame, I was looking forward to something - anything - that wasn't live (Bonaroo) or contemporary.

    emwurst

  • DukeOfPwn
Looking forward to playing Battlefield 1943. On another note, nice new website format! Space-age stuff!

    DukeOfPwn

  • Tom Clancy's Samuraidino
@Bialia: Oh give it a few weeks for it to be released, itl arrive eventually....then wait another week or two for Bethesda to release a patch to fix whatever probloms the DLC will cause.
  • FunkyMunxy
@zach a mac rack alack: Give the Battlefield trial a go first. You get 30 minutes to check it out. It convinced me not to bother with the full version.

    FunkyMunxy

  • Bialia
And, for the third week in a row, I am baffled and dumbstruck that the Fallout 3 DLC still isn't here. Have Bethesda even said anything? UGH. The Ghostbusters demo is pretty sweet though.

    Bialia

  • Elgar
    No Blazblue colors? /sad
  • zach a mac rack alack
Wait, Battlefield is only 15 bucks? Definitely will pick that up. As well as that "Ultimate Board Game Collection." Because I enjoy playing board games with myself even more than I do playing with my family. Oh boy.
  • MoeB
Ghost busters demo eh. Is it worth a download on PS3?

    MoeB
