Wolfenstein The Animated Graphic Novel Part Two
Now that Hitler is dead, it’s time to backtrack, stealing the Spear of Destiny back from the Nazi’s in part two of Activision’s Wolfenstein animated graphic novel series.
I had almost forgotten that Spear of Destiny was a prequel to Wolfenstein 3D, but I suppose it makes sense. Once you kill Robo-Hitler you can pretty much retire. No need to move on after that. Instead, we get a look at one of William “B.J.” Blazkowicz’s earlier adventures, in which he takes on a less daunting opponent – the angel of death.

Le sigh... This is just turning off any intrest I had in castle wolvie. That said I did enjoy Wolvinstein 3D when I was younger.
@OctaneHugo: Too bad we still don't know anything about the multiplayer mode.

@iEro-Sennin: More like as if the Doom comic took itself seriously.

@Archaneus:
Absolutely...but this comic is not based on Ray and Thomas' adventures. It's based on one of the greatest, but also most simplistic shooters of all time.

Somehow I missed that this version of Wolfenstein was going to center around The Spear Of Destiny.
I read Trevor Ravenscroft book about this called imaginatively "The Spear Of Destiny" which puts forth the theory that one of the main reasons Hitler went to war was to get The Spear Of Longinus from a museum in Austria because whoever possesed the relic (legend says it is the spear that was used to pierce the side of christ by the centurion Longinus while he was on the cross), would have the power to rule the world. Didn't seem to work much for Hitler did it?

Oh no Fahey you have the 's virus! Only a matter of time before you misuse 'your' and 'there' and start hunting for brains.

@InconspicuouslyConspicuous:
That's not really true. There are FPSes that have good stories. As a matter of fact one just came out about a week ago, Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood. Not all FPSes are just fragfests.
This is the graphical novel equivalent to Uwe Boll's movies.

@ServiceMaster: For me these comics are pushing it more towards mp_deservedhype.
@soviet_monkey: "Don't get me wrong, I love killing ____ as much as the next guy... but that's all the _____ games are."
Fit any creature/character/race then first person shooter games into those blanks.

That... just didn't need to exist.
No real plot, no clever twists, no tension...
And how did the demon at the end produce those projectiles?
Anyway, I'm sick to death of throwaway corporate "media." This smells just like an advertisement.
I thought "less daunting" would end up being an ironic statement...

Do we really need animated comics for titles with no real narrative? Even the lead "characters" name shows no forethought, or even intent of a story. Don't get me wrong, I love killing Nazi's as much as the next guy...but that's all the Wolfenstein games are.

How big is the video game graphic novel market?

I really love these! I cannot wait until the RTCW episode. Wolfenstein has taken a backseat in my video game hype-o-meter but these push it to the forefront of SP_Heart.
