Brütal Legend Soundtrack Confirmed

The complete Brütal Legend soundtrack that we first reported yesterday, apparently going out early from an EA Denmark site, has been confirmed as authentic by Double Fine chief Tim Schafer.

Schafer had this to say in a statement to GameDaily:

This soundtrack took years to put together as we wanted to represent every genre of Metal, and also have the perfect music for every epic moment in the game. It’s designed to be loved by Metal fans, and for those who are not, it will either convert them or make their heads explode … or both.

Emily Ridgeway, the Brütal Legend music director, chipped in that the music will “kick your f***ing teeth in.” It just won’t have any Iron Maiden.

It has an absolute ton of great metal bands, not just overrated popular ones… I’m sold. Time to pre-order.

I’m just stoked at the inclusion of bands like Carcass and Emperor! EMPEROR!

    A truly metal game.

Looks preety good. T’is awesome that In Flames, Children Of Bodom and Mastodon are on there. Shame about the lack of Iron Maiden, Metallica and some other truly great bands though…
