@ToastyUterus: Moving forward, backward, left and right is via a control, aiming is motion tracked. This thing is a work of genius :)

Too bad this one wasn't it because I'd rather pay something like this then a 3rd party controller that doesn't work as good as official ones.
If this controller is real, with the multiple console and PC support priced at $199.98 or less then I'm so getting this! Best novelty item EVER!!

I do wonder how the resolution will affect it though. I hope you don't have to use the lowest value on the video output and I do wonder about the latency of the video stream. Another thought is will there be a audio connection on the gun so you can hear what's going on? If your moving around then your audio placement will be off and when you move about and hear a shot from wherever, would you remember where the sound actually came from at your present direction?

looks nice, why the hell is he actually moving though, seems theres the keys on the gun for moving.....

if someone a software to track your movements however, then it would be sweet.

It's like a WiiMotion+ for orientation (aim), plus a gamepad on the side for movement and a trigger.

Amazing, utterly amazing piece of work. I really hope he manages to find a market and a good price because I think he might be onto something. At the very least it would be a great thing to bring to an arcade.

@BirdMurder: Yep it did look a bit weird when he kept on looking left and right as well in the same arc instead of looking all around and have the view correspond to that (like he turns around and the game shows him turning exactly 180 degrees).

Saw this when he made his prototype and it looked awesome.
Now it's even more awesome. He's also tweaked the gun layout which is good. (put the TFT on top instead of to the side)
Hope one of the big accessory companies pick up his idea n make it available for all.

Would like to know how it's being implemented for PS3 n 360 though. As PC can kinda have any input, but only PS3 has motion, and not in all games(and not to control the way this gun works) so would be nice to know what he planes for them

Nah. It's got controls for walking about attached to the barrel of the gun.
He's just enthusiastic about ti that's all.

I call total BS on this. The movements he's making with the gun don't correspond to what's happening on the TV. If I were a betting man, I'd just say this guy threw an LCD on the gun and has someone else sitting on the couch controlling the game trying to mimick what he is doing with the gun.
