@domhnall: nod, he's right, it's not emotionally addicting. It's just not addicting at all. Addiction requires withdrawal symptoms, a sense of not being able to live without, etc. Sure, weed provides a feel good feeling and lets you escape from the world as well as numbness, but you most certainly can live life without it - whether or not you enjoy living life without it is another story altogether.

Did you try blowing all along the connector? Make sure you don't accidentally send some spit flying either!

First, I don't dance with Mary Jane. It's not that she's not a pretty gal. It's just she ain't my type. Second, as some chaps have explained below, marijuana isn't physically addictive, which is why burnouts are so pathetic. @bobtheduck: After many many years of partaking in that activity, I can confrim the dependency created when using that on a regular basis for so long. After years, it was all I could think about, and it affected my moods accordingly. Couldn't find any? Pissy mood. Score a good batch? Couldn't be happier. In retrospect, it may not have ruined my life like others could've, but it adversely affected my life for a long time.

That Mega Man cartridge cover is a shame for the Mega Man developer, as he said himself. Nintendo of America did not think the original cover would sell good in America but the replacement was a joke! Just look at it!

Stephen! You've never heard of Etsy? Or so it seems at least. Well I hope you get to check the site out a little bit more than you did before posting the article (it seems, anyway) because it is just fantastic. I've seen these and similar items on there before. In fact, there are a lot of things on there that geeks and gamers could just die for (or at least want but not really spend too much money on).

So yeah. Etsy doesn't sell these so much as provide the service for craftsmen and such to place their item on-the-line and allow us to sample their wares. Like eBay, kinda.

@deanbmmv: If you can install ram or add a hard drive, you can do this. I bought a Black and Decker dremel (well, "rotary tool") at Walmart for $20, and it's usefulness is surprising. Everyone should have one. As far as labor goes, I'd say they charge a rate of ~$50/hour. Maybe I should sell them myself...

@JohhnyDamage: Can a laptop drive fit in an SNES cart? I haven't opened one since maybe 10 years ago, but I remember it being a bit cramped.

You'd need a cart, a hard drive, a dremel n a bit of know how.
Overall just off parts n labour it's not to bad a price. Bearing in mind it'll be a 2.5" drive so not as cheap as a desktop drive.

I like the ones that put a flash drive in cassette tapes.
No NES mod beats the NES PC though.

Not a bad idea, considering all they do is take a dremel and the connector part of a 2.5" drive enclosure (along with a drive, of course) and mash it all together.

Worth $150? Absolutely not. I could make this in about an hour for around $100, not including the original game cart. I mean, look at the dremel work! Amateurs.

These things do seem really cool, but it would be better if they just sold it as an enclosure for a HD. If I could get a 2.5 enclosure like this for under 30 bucks I would go for it and throw a 1 TB in. I can't rationalize spending over 80 dollars for 500 gigs of storage though, even if it looks super cool.

I do have a stack of old Nintendo cartridges somewhere, and I know for a fact that some of them don't work. Also have a couple 2.5" adapters... Aw, now I need to break out my soldering set and get to work. Stupid "Hey, I think I can make something like that" voice in my head.

If you did your background on Etsy, it's actually a general craft site, not a hard-drive manufacturer. Etsy itself isn't a trading company; more a middle-man like eBay where people buy and sell goods they've made themselves. It's actually "8BitMemory" (mentioned on the right of the page) who are selling the hard drives.
