PS3 Slimpocalypse Countdown: British Retailer Slashes PS3 Prices

British supermarket retailer ASDA have slashed the price of the 80GB PlayStation 3, ahead of a belief that Sony will soon be discontinuing the model.

Speaking with GI.biz, a representative from the chain said that the PS3 is not only being reduced to £250 (from £300), but will also be bundled with Terminator Salvation, Terminator 3 (the movie, on Blu-Ray) and a choice of either Ghostbusters (the game) or Infamous.

The offer will continue until stock is depleted. And after stock is depleted? We wonder.
