Can you guess this old game from just one screenshot?
I’ll update this post with the answer at 5pm today if no one has guessed before then. Or if you do guess it before then, feel free to share your memories of a classic game.
C64 – Rick Dangerous. I loved that game, awesome gameplay, graphics, and sound. Never really got very far though. Could never get passed the egyptian levels!
I used to play Rick Dangerous on the PC. I didn’t even recognise it. I couldn’t get past the first few levels either. Great game, just really challenging.
It’s Rick alright, but I almost didn’t recognise it.. it’s certainly not an Ami screen cap. Looks like C64. Never saw the Pc version though, so I guess that’s a possibility too.
RICK DANGEROUS!! Man, one evil and tough game that was. All the times I died followed by the “WAAAAAAAAAA!!!!” hehe! GREAT GAME!
Yeah, it certainly does not look like the Amiga version i had.. colours look odd and lack of detail (i know it wasnt the most detailed game anyway) It certainly does have a C64 feel to it doesn’t it Malorion? I cant remember all the formats it came out on though….
Rick Dangerous 2 for the C64. The first game was Indiana Jones locale inspired, whereas the second game was set in space. I haven’t played the Commodore 64 itterations, but I’m suspecting MobyGames have gotten their images mixed up.
Looking again however, he is wearing his original Indiana inspired outfit, and Murray claims the last level is a Nazi Rocket Base. As I never got that far in the first game, my original guess seems to be wrong and it is indeed the Rick 1.
Unless C64 ports were lazy and he uses the same character sprite????
