Can you guess this old game from just one screenshot?

Stinger on the NES? I actually don’t know the game, but when I saw the picture it reminded me of Twinbee (and Gradius). The Twinbee I remember though was a vertical shooter, so Wiki tells me that its sequel, Stinger, was a horizontal one (for half of it or something). That and only the Twinbee and Gradius universes have crazy cat pirate ships commanded by penguins as bosses.
