Can you guess this old game from just one screenshot?
I’ll update this post with the answer at 5pm today if no one has guessed before then. Or if you do guess it before then, feel free to share your memories of a classic game.
Oh this is the Pawn! Looks like the Amiga version i think…. I remember these static graphics being amazing for the time. The c64 version was particularly incredible for the 16color palette, all drawn by Bob Stevenson, a freakishly clever 20yo artist on the c64.
Along with stunning graphics ( for the time) it’s text passer was also a work of art.
Based on the Elisa program (or may have been the first incarnation of Elisa?) it could perform quite sophisticated comprehention from the dribblings of the player. One of it’s key tricks ‘apparently’ was that it could handle nested objects 24 deep… In other words, Take object X which is under object W which is under object V, which is under object U … which is under object B, which is under object A.
Hmm trying to think of the name of this game, is this the one where the boulder chases you indiana jones style, and you use shark repellant to swim across the water to the other island?
