Dammit, we want you to tell us stuff! Stuff like which music game you’re picking up this year.
This isn’t some marketing survey or whatever. It’s an emotional investment in you. Yes, we’re interesting in knowing you, Kotaku reader person. You probably know fucktons about us — more than you even want to, we’re sure. But, hey, we’d like to know about you, too.
Anyway, here’s today’s question…
The next few months see the release of The Beatles: Rock Band, Guitar Hero 5, DJ Hero, LEGO Rock Band and Band Hero. Which one(s) are you going to pick up? And will you be going the full instrument bundle or just the disc, man?
Me? I’ve already got the World Tour bundle, so I really don’t need any more plastic instruments (dodgy drum kit aside). I guess any of the standalone discs would be nice, although none of the track lists leap out at me as a must-have. DJ Hero I’m intrigued by, just because it looks like it offers a new experience for the genre… but it also looks damn hard. So if I had to buy one music game this year, it would be… Brutal Legend.

(counting Brutal Legend, a must buy, as outside the simulated music genre)

None, I listen to Music from video games but I do not play video games about music, unless of course they were to create a classical themed video game.

LEGO RB and beyond that, I’m not sure. Maybe GH5, and maybe the Beatles game.
Already have RB2 from the UK.

I’ll probably be buying GH5 (game only), and use my WT instruments. Aside from having to tune my drumkit with the usb dongle, they’ve been rock solid.
I have no interest in The Beatles so no point buying that one, nfi about the lego one, DJ hero… maybe, and band hero is like a family game or something?

My WT drums broke. I don’t want the same thing to happen again, so I’m switching to get the full band of RB:Beatles. The others I might just get the standalones, as for DJ Hero…if it gets cheaper I might consider.
