A Life Is Well Wasted Without Attractive Game Posters
Former Brodeo member Robert Ashley has a new(ish) podcast, but of more interest to us today, his podcast has some new, amazing posters to go with it.
Ashley has teamed up with Olly Moss—who created those great gaming “book covers”—to release a number of retro-themed promo prints.
They’re limited to 200 pieces each, and are $US25 if buying in the US, and $US30 if buying international. Even if you’re not a fan of his old-timey radio show efforts, you’d have to admit, these posters would look pretty tidy block-mounted and up on a wall somewhere booze is sold.

@Bakamoichigei: Yeah, I got it :P
Internet sarcasm doesn't always come through. But god dang, that is one big cartridge.
@Zorantor: He means they're friggen HUGE.
@Unrealer: ummmm...cake. There is no scape.
@Face Imploder: I don't get it. Can you explain it
His podcast makes my month. Any gamer that hasn't heard it yet should go grab a download, especially the "why game?" episode.
SexyPants
What, no Sega Saturn?
@Bakamoichigei: Yes. Because they are large.
I'm disappointed that the 'gotta catch 'em all' poster has NEO-GEO AES and NEO-GEO Pocket Color cartridges, but no NEO-GEO MVS carts. ;<
Of course, that's probably because it would TAKE UP THE WHOLE POSTER.
@deanbmmv: Archaotic would be the first person that jumps to my mind as well.
Maybe ShadowOdin as well if he hasn't had his meds that day.
I get all these guys confused because I only know their voices and names. It's hard to then place the voice with the name after hearing them on all these podcasts. I guess this is yet another I need to subscribe to.
@televizor: Holy crap, now I need to buy that one.
@Scotland: Did that link not work for you? It was the Hybrid post, so Kotaku + Giz, kind of a joke.
Yeah, most of the time Kotaku are exceptioanlly well behaved, especially compared to other gaming sites. I don't think many of them realise this though. Theres still the Mac vs PC type fanboyism, just obviously PS3 and 360, but most folks have both, or realise how pointless it is.
Lifehacker has a weekly "Open Post" or whatever it's called. So similar to TAY, just on LH it's insanely useful for tips n tricks.
I don't think we have a OMG! Ponies of our own. Maybe Archiotic, possibly. Why don't you put the question to the crowd at today's TAY? Jsut sit back n enjoy some tinned hotdogs with a side of sausage in beans. ;D
@deanbmmv: No. No they do not :(
[gizmodo.com]
Recently I have managed to read/comment on some of the "talk amongst yourselves" posts and I have not noticed much/any (trolling/ inappropriate comments) - have kotaku(ers) always been this well behaved? (I ask because "politeness" might be a problem if Gizmodo did it)
A Gizmodo "talk amongst yourselves" post + OMG! PONIES! = ?
Who is the OMG! PONIES! of Kotaku? (Or who likes to think that they are?)
(Do any of the other "gawker" websites have a "talk amongst yourselves" post?)
Gizmodo probably doesn't have one / need one, because some Gizmodoers have a tendency to go off topic when commenting. (Something that I would never do)

Hey, the 2nd one says The Death of EGM. My eyes aren't what they used to be (blue).
televizor
I'm an attractive poster on a game site. Who wants to touch me?
@TaylorEatWorld: You will be baked, and then there will be cake.
@Scotland: They don't already?
[gawker.com]
@deanbmmv: Seconded.
Kotaku should have photoshop competitions and Gizmodo should have "talk amongst yourselves" posts. (please and thank you)
Scotland
You know what you need to do, Pac Man.
TaylorEatWorld
It's stuff like this that reinforces me in my call for a photoshop competition like Gizmodo does.
@deanbmmv: "Just sit back n enjoy some tinned hotdogs with a side of sausage in beans." LOL
(However, I assume that I am to late to reply?)
